This is one of my favorite all-around papers. Very nice quality that feels affordable.

The 1-star rating is only for the last package of this I received. Like others have said, something was wrong with the paper because even on the highest print quality settings with bi-directional printing turned off I couldnt stop the ink bleeds. The sheets were also warped and I suspect either water damage or the paper was stored where it was subjected to really high humidity. Earlier batches of this paper produced stunning, 5-star results.

This is by far the best Epson paper in my opinion. I’ve tried them all and this one really stands out with its extra brightness. People definitely notice a difference from lab prints. The Cold Press also works very well for BW images with it’s texture.

This is now my 30th box and quite happy with the slight off White color, Matte finish as well as the weight of the paper.

I use the paper to make archival fine art prints on Epson printers. I’m very happy with the weight and color tone of the paper. It’s very smooth, but don’t mistake it for fuji crystal archive or more traditional photographic papers.

paper has good range, nice surface. I happen to use an older model epson printer, which epson no longer supports in the for of icc profiles. I was able to pull some decent prints, but probably through more trial and error than necessary based on having to use different profiles

I use this on my 4900 to make 16X20 to 16X 25 prints. Great impactful results and prints. Only negative is that it recommends max quality print resolution, thus using a lot of ink. But net net I am happy and will continue to use the product.

Nice thick stock, deep rich blacks, vibrant color, awesome paper

I use this paper primarily for black and white prints. It has great a weight to it and is a great alternative to the more expensive Moab and Hahnehmule brands. Color prints have come out ok but that could be me and not the paper.

This is a beautiful paper that prints without any problem on my Epson R2400 manual feed, unlike nonEpson papers of similar weight. Epson does not provide ICC profiles on this paper for the R2400 unfortunately but until I can upgrade the printer I have used the Ultrasmooth Fine Art profile and that seems to work well. The paper is very bright, with great color separation and is an excellent value for a fine art paper.

Wish it came in longer than a 50′ roll but I understand why it doesn’t. Colors look amazing on this paper.

Beautiful bright tonality makes my black and white photographs glow. The blacks look rich and the highlights stand out. Thickness of the paper is substantial but not too thick. Minimal texture to the paper is great.

I am currently a student in college and have been using this product for years to print all of my photos for not only class but for art shows and for selling. When I print my photos out the colors always come out great, it is also very durable paper and not very easy to rip. When I first started using this paper I think the first thing I didn’t like was figuring out which side I had to use, but over time that has become easier and I don’t really feel like I have a problem with it. I really like this product and have been using it for years, I recommended it to all other photographers and friends.

Very nice paper, great thickness and strong blacks and whites.

I love this paper, I’ve been printing on it for about a year and can’t get away from it. Beautiful color reproduction and a soft velvety look. Epson paper is reasonably priced as opposed to some of the other fine art matte papers. I prefer the white balance of the hot press bright vs. the natural.

When I want a matte surface I print my color photos on this paper. I use Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth for Black & White. The Epson is cleaner looking due to more brighetners added to the pre paper goo. Tonal separation is the best of any matte paper. Best blacks, best shadow detail. This paper comes very close to being able to match a glossy or pearl paper for gamut and adjacent tone separation. If you like matte paper for framing but like the image quality you get in the glossier surfaces this is a nice way to go.

Have used Hot Press Bright for a few years in 8.5×11 and 13×19 sizes for b&w prints. This was my first purchase of the 17×22 for prints 18 on the long side and the prints were good but not quite as contrasty, even after soft proofing, as I am used to. However, this was also the first time I printed Fuji medium format this large. Bottom line, I need to do more work with these files on this paper. I do like the texture and brightness.

I’m not going to get into the optical brighteners versus no optical brighteners debate. That is a subjective minefield. On my long and expensive quest to find a fine art matte paper so my photos don’t reflect my face back at me and has, almost, the DMax, clarity, sharpness and presence(my description) of one of the new Barytas, this may not be the Holy Grail, but it certainly puts you in the chapel and close to the altar. Of course printing on an Epson 7900 with the new HDR inks helps, but I’m sure it will do just fine on my trusty R2400 too. This is a very nice paper. I ordered a gob.
