Almost like a real photography paper.

Here is the paper of the traditional darkroom user’s dream. As a long time creator of darkrom prints I have been looking for an inkjet paper that would parallel the best wet paper processes. I look for a good fiber paper which has a solid feel. Epson Exhibition Fiber effectively reaches that standard and, in my opinion, even surpasses it. The surface recalls that of a fine fiber double weight glossy paper after it was washed, fixed, and air dried. It reproduces tonalities well, whether producing color or black and white prints. I especially like the 17×22 size since it is sturdy enough to take handling, despite its size, during the printer processing, without fear of damaging the surface. All in all, this Epson paper is capable of producing a print of exhibition quality. As a long time profesional photographer and former professor in the photography department of a New York State university, I back up my statement with years of experience. Finally, compared to other premium fiber papers being offered, I think it is very competitively priced at B&H.

The paper looks great, but the instructions are less than clear. Use the setting for Premium Luster Paper, because there are not any other settings for exhibition fiber. Also, you need to download the ICC profile, which does not update the profiles that come with the printer, namely, the 3880 in my case. I only wasted one sheet, but it was frustrating.

Love this paper for all my prints. It’s not glossy enough to be glossy and not matte enough to be matte.

This is a thick paper with a solid feel and nice texture — much better than Lustre. Without a doubt it is Epson’s finest paper ever manufactured. I viewed several prints made with an Epson 9900 and this paper that were beyond description. They were that great! The sharp tones and brilliant colors are terrific. As for this paper being similar to that of papers used by wet darkroom owners, I highly disagree on this point. I had a darkroom for many years. Exhibition Fiber Paper is absolutely nothing at all like the papers I used in that environment. This is not a shortcoming. It is just an observation. Exhibition Fiber Paper is a marvelous product on its own basis.

I used the large format paper to print images that I’m planning to exhibit in the Spring. The paper was recommended by my ICP Photoshop instructor. It’s beautiful paper but it does tend to chip and, in fact, that’s what happened to two of my prints. Which is fairly upsetting, considering how expensive the paper is and how difficult it is for me to access a large printer. Nevertheless, I love the large prints I did make that didn’t chip, and I was impressed by B & H. They got the paper to me in record time, as they said they would. Whatever paper I order in the future, I will order it from them.

Exhibition Fiber has long been one of my favorite papers for printing images for sale in a Gallery. (The other favorite is Velvet Fine Art.) Used this batch for both color and B&W prints for a photo competition/exhibition. Printed on my Epson 3800. Did not disappoint. Never does. Highly recommended.

This paper gives me beautiful black and white prints with a slightly warm tone from my medium format negatives. They are hard to tell from regular darkroom prints.

Great color, deep blacks, sharp images and heavy weight.

I am using this paper mostly for my own personal work, black and white portraits. The contrast and tones are beautiful, it doesn’t feel quite as significant as a gloss darkroom paper, but it does have the same surface look and feel. I’ve had a test piece on my desk getting thrown around, touched and handled for a week and the image has stayed pristine and the paper itself hasn’t bent or torn.

Epson’s Exhibition Fiber Paper is amazing for color or black & white. A beautiful surface, not matte and not gloss, shows your work in wonderful tones and value nuances. You won’t be disappointed!

this size is wonderful for both color and bw the larger 17 x 22 paper tends to curl up on the long side but after matting and framing no problem great quality prices are good

If date back to darkroom days, you may recall that there was a paper that had a gloss surface that, if allowed to dry naturally would provide an attractive semi-gloss surface for many types of prints. Exhibition Fiber does a great job mimicking that paper, has a wide color gamut (at least while printing on any of the Epson x900 printers) and produces gorgeous black and white prints if the tones are in the digital file. It also has a hefty thickness that feels great in the hand.

I think this is among the best digital papers around. It gives good blacks and pretty good whites. The semi-gloss finish gives good crisp results. Its also a sturdy paper.

Ordered this for a photography project and wanted to see how my images came out in large format on semi-gloss paper. Usually I’m a fan of matte papers because glossy prints have too much shine, this was a good compromise/middle-ground to have both, without being obnoxiously shiny. Would totally order again but encourage you to use a test sheet to make sure the tones in your image are going to print properly.

Had a hard time getting the colors to come out right using Epson Exhibition Fiber profile on an Epson P800 printer. Finally got it looking good by using the Epson Luster profile. This is the reason for the 4 stars, the ICC profile being bad. Wasted too many prints. Love the look of the paper, just be sure to get all the white specks of the paper before printing, or you will have ugly white spots on your finished print.

Purchased after reading all the positive reviews. This size is excellent. Just got an Epson 3880 and most non-roll papers max out at 17×22. This 24×30 size can be cut down to do semi-panoramic prints 17x 30, or 17×25 etc. Also, terrific look and feel.

I am using this paper to print color photos on an Epson Stylus Pro 3880. When investigating paper to use for prints that will be hung as artwork in a hotel, I compared a test on Exhibition Fiber with prints on Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper. Everyone who saw the prints agreed that the paper base, the clarity and intensity of the colors, the weight of the paper, and the surface texture of the Exhibition Fiber are all superior. I love the look and feel of this paper! As other people have mentioned in their reviews, I did find that some of the sheets had a few very tiny black or gray spots on them, about the size of a pencil lead. For that reason, I put my rating at 4 stars instead of 5. Many of the sheets had none of these dots, and of those that did, most had only one or two. Maybe two or three sheets out of the package had three-to-five spots. By noting where they were, I was able to orient the paper so that the spots fell in an area of the print where they were invisible. So, other than requiring a little extra time and care, the spots did not present an insurmountable problem for me. Still, you would expect Epson to provide flawless sheets in such a high-end paper. My only other complaint is that I wish Epson would offer this paper in 17 x 25 sheets so that we could print images uncropped at 16 x 24. I haven’t tried the paper with black and white prints yet, but I expect it will produce beautiful images.
