I could find no reviews for this paper being used on an Epson P7000 but decided to try it anyway. Epson does not list this as a printer that can use the paper. I tried it anyway as a friend with the Epson p8000 has used it with good success. (I know they do not use the same head.) Using the profiles for photo luster, the print is muddy and not clear or sharp. It looks like the ink pools, maybe indicating it is putting down too much ink. It would be unfair to rate the paper poorly as it clearly was not engineered for use on the P7000 and Epson does not claim it will work. There is no site option to give the product an N/A so to be fair and possibly alert P7000 or P9000 users I am giving it a rating, hoping they will see this review (or someone can weigh in with a profile that would work on my printer).

Found the Luster to be very distracting. I am after the intense color and brilliance which were impacted by the reflection of the luster texture.

I print detailed black and white artwork and this metallic paper is superb in displaying this art in its best manner.

Love the surface and very sharp images with great blacks. Brings out wonderful detail in wildlife images. Not sure why it’s so hard to find the correct printer profile. The profile that works is for premium luster not metallic luster. Some sizes allow the metallic choice but others do not. I believe the paper info as well as the Epson website should be more explicit about these.

I have been using Epson Ultra Premium Luster Paper for many years. I recently added the metallic finish papers (glossy and luster) to my paper inventory. The metallic papers add a metallic sheen that adds a color saturation pop compared to the Epson regular luster and matte finishes. The metallic finish can make a big difference in a variety of images where color saturation and a reflective appearance would make the image standout.

It’s an excellent inexpensive paper

I Prefer this to Entrada metallic pearl because it has a tiny bit of texture and is not quite as shiny. But I like both papers for photo with a lot of whites that might fade right into the background of a traditional white hot press.
