Blending the traditional look and feel of a silver halide darkroom paper with a true 100% cotton fibre base, Epson’s Legacy Platine Paper will help artists and photographers create vivid images with a wide color gamut and deep blacks. Available here as a 25-pack of 17 x 22″ sheets, the smooth satin paper will provide a durable surface to work with, featuring a basis weight of 314 gsm and a thickness of 17 mil. Also, it forgoes the use of optical brightening agents to ensure longevity and as a side effect, provides a more natural color with a brightness of 85% and a whiteness of 82%. Additionally, it is acid & lignin free and pH buffered.

The paper quality far surpasses the completion for that authentic and frankly, satisfying end result for my black and white photography. This paper resembles the chemical print to a T. The silver halide tonality is stunning, strengthened by a near 400 year archival life expectancy, further locks down my decision to only use this superior paper. Great color and contrast – I dislike muted colors and grey shadows, so I avoid most matte papers. Very heavy but still feeds well through rear feed of P700. And must mention that B&H is one of the few places that packs printer paper with corner protection. I will never order paper from Amazon again – too many boxes of paper with dinged corners (which they’ll replace with more similarly damaged packages). Paper ordered from B&H has always arrived intact. This is a huge deal!
