Using genuine Epson inks allows you to progile your printer and forget it, as the inks are very consistent and stable. …

for the 2400, great color, but a bit expensive

This product is used in a university setting in the photography/digital photography/digital media area.

I am a photographer and use Epson ink cartridges for printing photographs with my Epson Photo Stylus R2400 printer. The printer uses a lot of ink so I go through cartridges fairly quickly but I haven’t had a problem with any of the Epson inks clogging or spattering prints. I will continue to buy Epson ink.

Great refill system for my Epson! Good quality ink that really lasts!

Perfect color rendition for those middle and light gradients.

I am not a professional–just a hobbyist. However, I do have a pretty discriminating eye for detail and color. I have an older Epson R2400 printer and while it goes through ink and a somewhat disturbing rate, I can safely say from my perspective that I have no doubts about the consistently or quality of the UltraChrome inks used. Depending, of course, on the paper I can get really sublime results and the colors are reproduced with substantial accuracy to what I see on-screen (I say substantial because my monitor is not 100% a professional one, so I don’t get the complete color space a much more expensive monitor would render.)

It’s nice that B&H has a package deal to get all 8 on one click, as opposed to having to select each color by itself.
Luigi Zieme (verified owner) –
Good quality but small capacity and expensive.

right Ink, right price will keep me buying from B&H

I print my own color images on high quality fiber based inkjet papers for fine art purposes. High quality ink that is most of all archival is therefore key. Epson UltraChromes are pigment based (not a dye!!!) which makes them archival and a recommended product for any photographer. Color brilliance is superb. The multitude of colors and shades thereof (5 colors/shades & 3 shades of gray) codes for great detail rendition and colors that are true to the subject. The fact that each color is available separately is a major plus. I make a lot of print-outs and tests to get one print perfect, comparable to the intensity of working in the darkroom with test-strips etc., with this ink set-up I am enabled to react to shortages individually +++ Negative is that the inks are somewhat expensive. Although they last fairly long when printing in the range of 8x10s to 13×19 the comparably small amount of ink contained means frequent replenishment. However, the only cure for that is a more expansive, larger format printer as ink get less expensive with increase in size. This in turn means at least $1000.00 more investment for the printer. That’s just up to the consumer then. Overall I do recommend this product highly. The performance is generally up to very high standards! Godspeed!

I see no reason for using anything other than this stock Epson ink, since it looks so good. Once your printer is set up and you have the proper profile for your paper, it will run like a champ with this ink!
Colby Friesen (verified owner) –
When I use the Epson cartridges together with the Epson papers, I find the colors enhance my conceptions and are true to my vision. The landscapes and portraits come to life!
Shanny Fisher (verified owner) –
Great looking ink, just wish my R2400 did not use so much of it!
Jermaine Hessel (verified owner) –
Good price … considering the options.

Archival prints from your home/office! Colors can be totally accurate, so long as you have your monitor calibrated and a printer profile specific to your printer and the paper you are using.
Mae Herman (verified owner) –
excellent results—too small a quantity Epson’s only flaw here is the extremely small capacity of these cartridges. the ink produces precisely as expected
