The Epson 87 Yellow Ink Cartridge for Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Printers – prints digital photos that look and feel like traditional color lab prints. This quick-dry, ultra-fine ink provides vivid high-image quality output with minimum dot gain.
When the most vivid, brilliant colors and true deep blacks are critical to a photograph or proof, Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 inks are a logical choice. Epson photographic dye delivers a print with unparalleled color, density, and clarity. This ink is a favorite among commercial photographers, prepress proofing, and design professionals.

The Epson 87 inks produce eye-popping color and beautiful art prints when I use Epson cold press textured watercolor paper.

Still churning out great prints from my 9-yr old R1900. Only one major cleaning a few years ago…but refuses to give up. Great inks, great printer.

The ink itself is fine; the cartridges are simply way too small for a 13×19 printer!

I tried to by not original cartridges, it was bad idea. Original cartridge gives true color and works about 20-30% longer. Excellent.

Epson inks have proven to be trouble free for me. I would not consider another brand of ink.

Excellent quality prints with accurate colors. No issues with drying, smears etc. I always used Epson brand and continue to do so despite higher price as compared to non-brand inks.

I have a R1900 printer and love the quality of the prints, BUT the ink cartridges are too small. Wish Epson had made the cartridges larger.

I print a lot of DVD covers and labels with high quality full color photos. This ink produces vivid images and dries quick. It seems to last longer than my Epson 800 ink.

A trick I learned from the DPR forum works well for me. I leave My Epson R1900 printer on all of the time so that it does not clean the jets every time I use it. (If you shut the printer off, then each time you turn it on, it automatically cleans the ink jets by using additional ink.) I do not print every day . . . perhaps once a week or so. The performance of this printer, and the Epson inks, is exceptional.

good prints, works fine.

I always use Epson replacements inks in all my Epson printers and never have any problems. I know the 1900 printer is discontinued now but I think they made the cartridge smaller than in the 1800 containing less ink for the price. Perhaps they went back to larger replacements in the new version.
