The Epson 87 Yellow Ink Cartridge for Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Printers – prints digital photos that look and feel like traditional color lab prints. This quick-dry, ultra-fine ink provides vivid high-image quality output with minimum dot gain.
When the most vivid, brilliant colors and true deep blacks are critical to a photograph or proof, Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 inks are a logical choice. Epson photographic dye delivers a print with unparalleled color, density, and clarity. This ink is a favorite among commercial photographers, prepress proofing, and design professionals.

All of the Epson inks I use for the Epson R-1900 give me eye-popping color and beautiful art prints when I print on Epson cold pressed textured watercolor paper.

I tried to by not original cartridges, it was bad idea. Original cartridge gives true color and works about 20-30% longer. Excellent.

This ink is used in my Epson Stylus Photo 1900 and is very consistent. Once the printer was dialed in, ink changes don’t change the color or density.

I use these cartridges to print Fine Art Digital Prints on Epson papers. Color is vivid and crisp. I’m also pleasantly surprised by how many prints I can make before running out of ink.

I use this ink with my R1900 and get amazing quality. Although the ink is expensive, it is well worth the extra penny for that extra profesional look.

I’m professional artist and document my work by scanning both color slides & black white film into my computer. I have found that unless you can afford a lot extra software beside Photoshop Elements, you can’t get true rich blacks or whites without an overall cast of blue or other colors. Very frustrating.

Recently purchased the R1900 printer for photography printing. There are two problems with ink cartriges. Colors are sometimes on back order and there has been difficulty with the cartriges not working after a few days or the empty cartrige light stays lit on the printer, even after a new cartrige was added. This has happened with a few of the colors. Photo Black, Cyan, and the gloss. Epson has been contacted regarding the problem. Uncertain if the flaw is in the ink cartriges or in the printer.
