I have an Epson R1900 printer and the prints are great. BUT the cartridges are too small. Epson should have made the cartridges larger.

These Epson inks are great for color printing, particularly if you apply a custom printer profile made with a spectrophotometer. Unfortunately, the yield for a set of cartridges is limited to about 10 15×10 prints.

I’ve just got my refill ink for my Epson 1900 printer. The refills are a bit smaller than than they were for my previous printer, the Epson 1800. The quality of Epson products are excellent. The quality of the their inks is outstanding.

I’ve been printing my photographs for many years on differing Epson Printers. I’ve tried various non-Epson inks and papers and combinations of both. The end result has always been the same: Stick with Epson! You cannot beat the color matching and vibrancy of this combination. Now I do realize that Epson inks are expensive, but was it quality or expense the consideration when you purchased your Epson Photo Printer. For most of us, it was Quality! So bite the bullet and always purchase genuine Epson quality inks and papers recommended for your printer to get the very best quality results possible. I have been truly satisfied with my current two Epson Photo Printers. The quality and dependability are outstanding if you stick to the genuine supplies. Otherwise, you are on your own and will eventually end up wasting money on inferior knockoff products that may even ruin your print-head. It’s not worth the trouble: Stick with Epson!

A trick I learned from the DPR forum works well for me. I leave My Epson R1900 printer on all of the time so that it does not clean the jets every time I use it. (If you shut the printer off, then each time you turn it on, it automatically cleans the ink jets by using additional ink.) I do not print every day . . . perhaps once a week or so. The performance of this printer, and the Epson inks, is exceptional.
