This is my first archival printer. And my prints have been beautiful due in part to the archival inks. The inks are great because the colors are consistent. They are affordable… However, the cartridges do not last all that long. That is my biggest complaint. I don’t really print often enough to purchase the inks that don’t come in cartridges.

Has not clogged or loaded up – yet anyway – after 3 months use. Watch the expiration date when you buy. Buy yourself at a store near you. Online – the dates can be very close and give you little time to use it all. Then again tanks tend to be small when you print many 11X14,,,

If you print on Matte Paper on an Epson Stylus R2880, you must use Matte Black ink. When you choose Matte Paper with the Photo Black cartridge inserted, the printer will not let you print. I like the matte finish on my b&w shots as it seems to give more depth and range to the print.
