I give four stars because of the price, otherwise the K3 technology is great. The high price is an issue for all things inkjet these days, especially the high-end printers such as my R3000. The color spectrum is beautiful and the fade resistance of the prints is extraordinary too.

I use the Epson 157 ink cartridges in my Epson R3000, a wide-format printer that gives professional enlargements. The only downside — which is true of all good photo printers — is the cost of the ink. (There are 9 cartridges.) Currently, B&H is reducing the prices! Also, B&H has a quick, efficient website and the ordering process is fast and user-friendly.

Well this is light black, then there is light light black, I suppose there is clear, but then what’s the point? The light black helps to create tonal variations. Works fine.

I’m a professional artist who works in multi-media sculpture, photography and painting. My most frequent use is to make photo prints of my paintings, business and exhibition announcement cards. True rendition of color is the name of the game for me. I’ve only had my R3000 about a month and can’t find any complaint about its ability to produce a high quality fine art color print. But the ink cartridge stinks in terms of getting a lot of use out of it. Machine is an ink pig!

B&H Photo can be a little intimidating at first glance. But customer service is extremely helpful and their phone ordering system is AMAZING. It’s my go to store to find my ink cartridges cheaper than most vendors. About the ink, I love my Epson Stylus R3000 and the fact that it conserves ink by using specific cartridges based on the print. Beautiful, vibrant colour and masters heavyweight card stocks like a champ! I’m talking 160lb cover!!!

Vivid Magenta. The whole set of inks have 4 different blacks, two magentas, two cyans, but only one yellow. Anyway, the magenta is what you would expect Vivid to mean. The colors are stunning.
