1) This cartridge arrived fresh, dated 17 months after receipt. Thank you B&H. 2) I wouldn’t use anything but Epson ink in my Epson 3880. After the printing is done, all that remains is ink on paper. This ink is the manufacturer’s original, the one all the hardware reviews were about, the one tested for longevity by an independent laboratory, and the only one I have confidence will still look good when I don’t.

I am a believer in buying the printer ink that matches the printer, rather than 3rd party inks (have had horrible experiences doing it that way), and Epson makes high quality inks for their printers, especially those designed for photographic work. The cartridges are reliable if only a bit expensive, but then the printers are of high quality at economical prices. This cartridge is for the Stylus Pro 3880.

Of course I buy this ink because it’s the one made for my 3880, and it does hurt the wallet a little bit, but they’re large, and last long. I have to say that I never have clogs or blockages, even after more than a month of disuse. It dries fast, is easy to replace, and comes from a company whose products I firmly believe in. I print fine art photos and illustrations which I sell as well as hang in galleries both here in NYC and elsewhere.

great ink but bought the wrong set and now only discovering my error. THIS IS NOT FOR THE 3880! I made the error and now have two magentas that dont work. CHECK YOUR MODEL NUMBER or pay the price $110 error to replace cartridges! YIKES!
