I’ve used 3rd party inks in the past and suffered various levels of cloggings. With my 7600, the worst I ever see are minor clogs. Also, I used to buy Epson ink cartridges from other sources but B&H seems to have gotten aggressive with their pricing and is now the cheapest or so close as to not matter.

I’m currently in a Yellow period inspired by the VanGoth episodes of Doctor Who. Boy does the T603400 really pop like Chrome. It’s Ultra.

I have a 9800 and for my fine art images- selling my artwork is my full time living. I only use Photo Black (vs Matte Black) because it is such a painful and expensive process to switch inks. That said there is lots of media out there that uses Photo Black including canvas, exhibition fiber, premium luster and many others. When I want to use cold press or some other matte fine art media I just use my 3880 which goes up to 17×22 and is a breeze to switch blacks. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that Epson printers purposely uses a lot of extra ink (look at your maintenance cartridge sometime) but worse tells you it’s empty when there’s really ink left in there. You can find articles on this all over the web. In the end I’m happy with the Epson system.

Out of all the colors of ink jet ink, yellow is the very best. I find that I would not print without it. It is just that good. It helps greens look more green and it is fairly essential for colors that are yellow. The one drawback to this color is that it is hard to perceive in tests for a clogged head. Hopefully this will be changed in future revisions of this product.

I use only Epson inks and this is part of the set for my Epson 7800. My customers trust that when they buy one of my prints that it will last.

This ink is part of the set of inks I use on my Epson 7800. I use only Epson inks because they have been tested for permanence and when I sell a print my customer trust I am using inks that will last.

Epson’s cartridges work well and are very easy to install. The color is consistent between batches and B&H consistently has the best price for this particular line of cartridges. The 220 ml cartridges last a long time, typically a few hundred feet of printing on my Epson 7800. This cartridge and the Light Light Black are the two I go through most frequently.
