I have a 9800 and for my fine art images- selling my artwork is my full time living. I only use Photo Black (vs Matte Black) because it is such a painful and expensive process to switch inks. That said there is lots of media out there that uses Photo Black including canvas, exhibition fiber, premium luster and many others. When I want to use cold press or some other matte fine art media I just use my 3880 which goes up to 17×22 and is a breeze to switch blacks. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that Epson printers purposely uses a lot of extra ink (look at your maintenance cartridge sometime) but worse tells you it’s empty when there’s really ink left in there. You can find articles on this all over the web. In the end I’m happy with the Epson system.

I’ve always trusted epson inks and they continue to perform well. I will probably never choose a different brand.

I have been using these inks in my Epson Stylus Pro 9880 for several years. I bought the printer used and clogged with 3rd party ink. It took me a while to purge the system, but once clean it has been clog-free. I almost never run a nozzle test, it is that reliable. I print fine prints up to 43 by 96 inches with no imperfections, even after a month of no activity.

I’ve been printing with my Epson 9800 44 printer for the past 8 years. I’ve never put anything other than genuine Epson inks through the machine and have never had a quality issue with my prints.

this ink, one of eight inks i use on my epson 7800 printer lives up to its billing… stable and consistent… scratch resistant, i’m not sure… i haven’t tried scratching a print

My Epson Stylus Pro 7800 and UltraChrome ink produce the best color I have seen in an inkjet print… red actually looks RED. In portraits gradations in skin tone are smooth and subtle.

We’re a boutique digital production studio, specializing in custom film scans & output to prints on our 24 Epson 7800 printer. Our clients are consistently very happy with the rich, true colors from the archival 8-color Epson inks. The quality of the digital prints, on standard Epson Premium Luster Paper with the UltraChrome inks, is comparable to traditional darkroom photographic prints, even to the most discerning eyes! And we especially appreciate B&H’s great price on the 220ml ink cartridges,…

UltraChrome ink is the primary building block for perfect prints. combined with epson media its hard to mess this up- this is the one!!

It’s not cheap, but at the same time very cheap when you consider the quality of prints I could still get out of the Epson 4880 printer! I use it mostly for printing digital negatives, so cyan is used very little. However, the printer refuses to print even if any one ink is out. Also, the ink gauge is not precise but an estimate. So sometimes one color might not print when the gauge said it was not nearly empty, and sometime just the opposite is true. But I put up with it because how else can I get such beautiful negatives made so conveniently and predictably with QTR?

This ink is one of 8 different colors used by my Stylus Pro 7800 wide format printer. I use this on everything from adhesive vinyl to fine art canvas. The colors are vivid and gorgeous. I don’t see how you can review a single color, but all of the K3 inks are exquisite.

It’s big. It’s black. Not too black. More like gray or lightish black. It fits my Epson 7880 like a glove. The 220ml cartridge is more economical than the 110ml cartridge. It really looks stylish in your ink carts.

I’m currently in a Yellow period inspired by the VanGoth episodes of Doctor Who. Boy does the T603400 really pop like Chrome. It’s Ultra.
