   I’m not a computer geek. I know if I punch an M on the keyboard, well, by golly, an M appears on the screen. So when an error message appeared that said my maintenance box was nearing the end of its useful life, I had no idea what that was. I had never heard of a maintenance box before. A little searching on the Internet filled me in. I ordered the very inexpensive box. The instructions were very clear. It is basically a plug-and-play item. All I know is that the error message disappeared and the Epson printer continues to work great. Since I’ve had the printer for about 10 years, I really can’t evaluate the maintenance box for, perhaps, 10 years :-). But what I do know now is that it was a cheap, quick, easy fix.

   My bet is that most of you don’t even know that your Epson printer has a ‘Maintenance Box.’ What’s that you ask? Whenever you run a print head cleaning or alignment maintenance, it dumps the excess ink into this box rather than drooling all over its own insides. In time, it fills up. Before you know it, your printer won’t let you proceed because this box is full and needs to be replaced. You can order the same box from dozens of places, so why B&H? Because A: They had it in stock, and B: They had the best price by far. Way to go B&H!

   The price was excellent. It was incredibly easy to change out. The product arrived packaged well and arrived quickly. This would be the first place I come if I need a replacement for my printer.
