I ordered Epson T8502 cyan cartridge instead of T5802. My (dyslexic) mistake. I didn’t realize this when I opened the box, but I did know something was wrong when I tried to insert the cartridge into the printer slot, and it didn’t fit. Then I checked the cartridge and realized my mistake. Although the cartridge was unused, I did take it out of the box, so it was not returnable. I ended up having to order the T5802 which is exactly what I need.

This is the ink I need for my Epson 800. It was in stock and shipping was free and fast. Will buy from B&H again.

I’ve been using Epson’s UltraChrome HD inks in my SureColor P800 17 wide-format printer for two years (a little longer, i think) and have NEVER WISHED FOR BETTER. Probably warrants saying, too, that I use Epson papers–their Cold Press Bright is wonderful. I do digital art and photos (haven’t got my website quite right yet, but watch for it!) and expect my prints to be faithful to the on-screen images. They are. I’m my own severest critic and not given to flights of subjective hyperbole. Others erupt gushingly about velvety black expanses and finely detailed color–I revel in it. Blimie and Herman sell the ink, the paper, and the printer; if you’re using a lesser combo, I’m willing to bet that you’re a wee bit reluctant to call yourself a professional. You can fix that: Epson’s Ultrachrome HD inks through the SureColor printer onto Cold Press Bright (for instance-there are a bunch of others; the Metallic Photo Paper Luster is another personal favorite) will have you striding out. No doubt. — Dee Johnson

Well, what can one say about printer ink? It works great in my P800. I love watching the print emerge from the printer as the UltraChrome inks have done their job. No clogging issues, and the colors and B&W look wonderful on Red River papers.

This ink works fine. It’s what I ordered. I just wish epson didn’t use scare tactics to maintain their monopoly on the ink that runs in their printers. The monopoly means they can charge whatever price they want for their ink. Epson really just sells inks. It’s printer sales are really just geared at ink sales.

Use this ink in Epson P800 and use a lot of black regular ink. Works fine for color and BW. The new ink has a greater lifespan on matte and glassy paper.

The things we’ll do for a chance to win a gift card . . . . Of course I love it. It is the photo black ink needed for my Epson SureColor P800 printer, which is the only (semi)professional printer I’ve owned. I recently graduated with a certificate in professional photography, and my portfolio won perfect scores in printing. My advisor, who never prints his own work, expected as much from the quality he saw in my prep. My clients love their prints. I love my prints. I’d probably be even happier with a bigger printer using even more inks, but this is what I can afford at this stage of my career and the results are better than what I got when I had a local lab, if only because I control everything, from paper choice through profile and print options.

It works.

Ordering on line is a headache…so I’ll go back to buying it locally even though the drive is timely. The one star rating is due to the servive faux pas,not the product. In all fairness this is the first time I’ve experienced like this but it was costly.

The package came quickly so work was not interrupted. As usual no issue with quality.

My art has been marketed as limited edition prints since 1975. The art dealer and I were forced to print the full edition via photo-litho in the early years. The giclee printing process allows us to print on demand, which is an amazing advantage in so many ways. Epsons latest inks are pure gold to my print production… great color range, depth & rich and they are long lived! Its been a revolution for the good for artists.

Ridiculously expensive ink!

I only buy Epson ink

Kind of hard to review a consumable like Photo Black Ink. I can only say that it produces beautiful results in my Epson printer. And I really like the larger-capacity 80 ml cartridges compared to the tiny ones in my old printer.

Great to be able to buy the right set with a single selection!

I am extremely happy with my Epson P800, which I’ve now had for 7 or 8 years. The inks last well for my moderate use. A shame they’re so expensive, though. Still, I expect many more years from my printer and its high-quality inks.
