I have been using Epson inks for over 15 years and never had a problem. I tried once for a 3rd party ink to save a few bucs and it was a disaster. It didnt match and I dont think the cartridge was completely full. Save a headache, stay with Epson ink.

It is actually cheaper to use this printer than it is to use a dye based pigment printing solution. These pigments are durable. Of course the durability is dependent on the sort of paper I select. But the selection is vast. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

It’s ink. My P800 won’t work without it. The printer makes beautiful prints that will last longer than I will. The ink isn’t cheap, but the cartridges last a reasonably long time. I no longer have to run to a lab for inferior photo prints so that’s saving me money and I have much more control over my finished product. I can’t get the ink locally but B&H gets it to me in no time flat. The free shipping gets product to me the next day if I order in the morning. Can’t beat that kind of service.
