Very easy to set time. Dimmer switch can only be hi or low. Low wasn’t quite low enough for my bedroom but ok for other rooms. There are clocks with dimmer switch from off to hi and found one for bedroom. The La Crosse clock is now in the living room.

The digital display has a high and low setting as does the ascending alarm. It also has battery backup to operate the time and alarm in the event of a power outage.

The review is being written after owning this clock for six weeks.Positives-Easy to display day and night.-The high and low brightness setting is great. I use the low setting, and during the day, in a lit room, the display can be easily seen. And night, in a dark room, again, the display can easily be seen, and the brightness isn’t such that it lights the room.-The alarm at the low setting is plenty loud enough to wake me.Negatives-Right out of the box, there was a problem with the display. On the far right minute number, two segments are not as bright as the other segments. For example, using the number ‘8’. The two left vertical LED segments of the ‘8’ weren’t as bright as the rest of the LED on the time.Now six weeks in, I’m noticing other LED segments are showing signs of being brighter than other. This varies on the number being displayed. A number ‘8’ may have segments that are not as bright as others for that number. Yet, if it was ‘6’ being displayed, then other segments of the number vary in brightness. The numbers don’t display as shown in picture above.Yet as describe this concern, other times the time will display perfectly.Recommendation to the manufacturer-Place all setting switches on the back of the clock except for the alarm ‘on/off’ switch, and mold in the plastic of the clock house, the use of switch. As it is not, the ink that’s used to show their function will wear out.Having the infrequently used switches in back instead of on the top where alarm on/off switch is, will help the sleepy person to turn off the alarm instead of doing something else to the clock.-Add a weight to the bottom inside of the clock. The clock is lightweight and moves easily when bumped. The extra weight could help keep it from moving easily.Summary-Overall this is a good clock, and for the price. It’s easy to use, and with a good alarm volume and display brightness. I’d recommend it.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Small, easy to set alarm and just the perfect brightness. Other clocks are so bright they lit up the room. This clock lights up so you can read the numbers and does not make you room bright at night. The only thing I wish the off for the alarm was a little bigger to the touch. When you wake up in the morning it’s hard to find the off switch. Good clock. Good value.
