I use this hammer with chisels mostly. The heavy molded grip helps reduce shock when striking the chisel which leads to less soreness later. I really like this hammer. I am also glad it was made here in the USA!

Good quality hammer does not exactly what it’s designed to do.

I use it for pounding in heavy duty stakes for my outfitting tent. I had no problem with it and I don’t have to worry about the head comping off the handle.

Very reliable and sturdy….does the job and more!

Use this for many projects. Excellent for driving metal stakes in clay, driving wedges while splitting firewood, adjusting and leveling materials.

Indestructible workhorse & one of the top 10 hand tools that I’ve been extremely satisfied using. Drive stakes, hammer chisels, concrete, & metal. I find it’s the ideal weight & handle length for control & reduced fatigue for use all day long. I never have to worry about the head separating from the handle since they’re forged from a single billet.

Excellent single piece construction. I expect it will be the last hammer of its type I’ll ever buy.

I’m not sure how I went so long without one of these. Probably because I had not used one before. After getting this, I rarely even use my demolition hammer anymore. It breaks through plaster and drywall very easily and in bigger chunks, as well as has a good swing arc that doesn’t fatigue the wrist nearly as fast. Easy to carry and grab onto and very effective for quick work where you need a little oomph behind it, such as popping up nailed boards. The only con I see is that Estwing charges a premium for their goods. But then, it’s a tool that should be in everyone’s collection and will not go to waste.

Definitely no vibration in the handle as it says. And light enough to get a good swing and compact

Hammer is solidly built (one piece forged) and is short enough to allow access to small places. Although the relatively short overall handle length could be seen as a negative, the loss of any leverage is more than offset by the 3 lb weight of the hammer head. I have had the tool for about 3 weeks and used it almost every day. Like all Estwing hammers, it is pure quality.

I replaced a very old 3lbs hammer with this one. I like the all steel construction. it is easy to hold.

Solid block of steel. The handle could be another inch or two.
