This is a lightweight well balanced hammer. I do finish work and this is the best tool for the job…not overpowering and small enough to use in ackward spaces. I used an Eswing 16 ounce leather handle hammer for years and finally retired it after my last project (due mainly for using it for applications it wasn’t intended for). I loved the feel and balance of this hammer and the new one feels quite the same…albeit a bit smaller and lighter. Can’t say I’m aware of anything better than this hammer for doing finish work.
