Have always relied on Estwing products, as their hardened steel guarantees a quality instrument. I have a rock hammer that has been pounding rock specimens for 40 years, and this Amber is for my home tool box . Great for small hands!

I inherited my Grandfather’s leather-handled Estwing hammer that he bought in the 1930’s. He was a cabinet maker. I needed a smaller hammer and after looking over the selection, this one seemed to be a “no-brainer.” Made in the USA by a family-owned company that hasn’t sold out or reverted to “Chinesium” products. Comfortable, strong, good “fit and finish”, and all at a very reasonable price. One of my grandkids will have it some day.

Estwing is the best hammer ever, a flat face like a golf club. A steel shank much better than fiberglass that can shatter and splinter, Although I wanted a 16 oz but none in stock that day. I’ll add a 20 Oz straight claw later too

When you don’t need a “big” hammer or a tack hammer won’t get the job done, this is the one. Great heft and ergonomics for those smaller jobs where you want a smaller head and face without doing damage to the surrounding area. And a great beginning hammer for a child, especially since it has the curved claw. Can you have enough different type hammers? Don’t think so. Only have one socket, wrench, screwdriver or plier set? One size fits none. which is why I have 6 different Estwing hammers. A good quality tool pays for itself with one use. Have had some of my Estwings for over 40 years and they just keep going. And Made in USA! The only hammer I have that is older and similar in style is the old True Temper Rocket.
