I have an Estwing 16oz hammer and an Estwing 22oz hammer that I purchased around 1989 and still use it today. This hammer was for my son.

22 oz is standard hammer size. This hammer is smaller than standard.

This hammer has a nice weight and balance to it. I bought one these a few years ago and likes it so much I bought a second. I realized a well balance hammer does make difference and helps get the job done faster.

Estwing makes great tools, and it keeps me coming back. I’m sure a contractor would have a better explanation but this hammer has all the features that earned its place in my home kit. Full steel handle, shock resistant grip, great finish, and made in USA. Estwing isn’t always made in USA, but they make great tools. Taiwan steel and quality control is great, but I try to buy American made products when practical. Great hammer that should last a home tinkerer a life time.

Love Estwing hammers and have for years. The quality never changes and they are solid. Never feel any vibration with contact. Not super heavy on the tool belt all day but not so light as to feel chincy. I prefer the straight claw as it makes getting under things in tighter spaces easier. If I need more pry I will use a flat/pry bar. Highly recommend

Excellent

The hammer is lightweight, which is necessary for me, since I’m a petite person. It has a nice blue grip to allow for better control when utilizing the hammer. Sturdy, and makes the demolition job a breeze.
