I ordered the Estwing E2-22P Rock Pick from my local HD. This is “THE” rock pick that is the # 1 choice of Geologists. It has great weight and balance to generate enough force to break rocks. It will last a life time if you don’t lose it. American made of forged one piece steel with a smooth but none slip handle. Like my 20 year old Estwing chisel face bricklayer hammer it will stand up to abuse of being in the field every day. Please note that the pointed end is not meant to break rocks, bust concrete or chip paint off of steel… You’ll only dull it. Buy a cold chisel and a 3 lb drilling hammer. The pointed end is prying rocks apart, light chipping and digging rocks out of the ground. I shopped around at Geology supply houses and Amazon before making my purchase. Amazon was the same price but why pay for shipping when HD ships to your local store for FREE, and what the heck I’m there every week anyway. You will enjoy this quality made tool and of course, when using any hammer, wear your safety glasses!
