They do last forever. I bought one way back in the 1960’s and I kept that Estwing hammer up until a couple of months ago. I gave it to a young man that was trying to make it in the building business.It was still in great shape ,even with over 40 years of use. Last but not least, These Hammers were and are made in the United States of America. You get what you pay for.
