The Big Blue has a slightly larger face than the standard Estwing mason’s hammers which helps in splitting bricks and tapping chisels, and the 22 oz. weight is just perfect.

What can I say, it’s a hammer with a chisel tip. I’m not a bricklayer so I can’t say how it holds up for that job, but I am an electrician who runs SEU and this has been perfect for digging underneath j boxes and pedestals.
