Sharp as any axe I have ever purchased and easy to keep an edge. I have been clearing a lot of l large shrubs and find it works best on rigid structure near a joint larger branches etc. Does not have the weight to overcome recoil from flexible limbs. Otherwise very versatile.

I just received this Estwing Tomahawk. Very impressive one piece build. One piece that will last for many years, great grip and comes with a well made sheath for carry. Would highly recommend this product and is MADE IN AMERICA!

This product took 28 days for a 3 day ship, 1st one was not up to par, looked like it was cut out with plasma cutter painted black and shipped. 2nd one a little better not much, The leather handle one comes a lot cleaner, sharper and better detail by far. Overall design not bad, so far it cuts ok and seems to be strong, should be a good beater, handle should be 2 in longer and beard of blade should resemble top then would be a lot better. Steel seems good haven’t damaged tip yet on spike. Over all good hawk just not the quality I excepted from estwing after all I have 30 yr old frame hammer with no flaws what so ever so I excepted the same from their hawk. For the price I guess you get what you pay for, How ever it was 50.00 shipped I could get same quality from American tomahawk, made in Taiwan for 24.00 so its up to consumer but for American made I had higher standards, After I put it to some test I will re-view

I give it 4 stars overall. It’s good, but not great. Better than most other hawks out there in the same price range.

as far as value is concerned, I think you would be tough to find any competitor in the same ballpark. it is a full tang tomahawk at a reasonable price. can’t go wrong. nylon sheath is very stout and protective, the belt loop seems a bit tight, but probably wont’ have it belt mounted much.

Slap on a pair of gloves, and lets have some fun. All the young unwanted saplings from last year are gone in about an hours fun. 1 1/2 inch and green wood cut through in just a swing. 2 inch would cut about 3/4 way then start a split down to the ground. by the 2nd sweep gone! The hawk is so light that what it lacks in sharpness it makes up in power and speed.

My son was interested in a hawk, or small hatchet. I like this one especially because it was made in the USA and the price was right.

Excellent tool, nice balance and a conformable handle.

This Tomahawk is solid! It feels and fits the size of my hand nicely, and the weight is a good balance. It can be thrown, but not recommended. The sheath is my only problem, and for that I use a hammer loop, it fits well and looks great at my side! Overall I highly recommend this Tomahawk!!

This is GREAT Well Made TOOL from a Fine manufacturer. It is well balanced and has a very sharp edge to trim limbs and small brush. On the other side is a Pick that you can use to grab larger pieces of brush and drag it out of your way with. It has a one piece STEEL handle that will never Break on you, making it Very Dependable. It is a very well manufactured tool with a durable rubber handle Grip that is very easy to hold onto and it absorbs a lot of the shock from reaching your hands when chopping limbs, brush or just picking stuff out of your way. I love this tool and would strongly recommend it to all woodsmen and campers, It is so Handy in many different ways.

This tomahawk has surpassed SOG tools for it’s durability. It seems lighter than other forged head hawks I have had, but still able to deliver good heavy blows. It has a grip that does a good job reducing shock. Overall I am very satisfied.

Previous Estwing purchases have all had a decent edge, ready to cut. This item required a bit of work to achieve the kind of edge needed to perform well. Good balance, nice heft, comfortable handle.

It is what it is.. Solidly built and of reasonable weight and dimensions.

The past winter has left an ice dam situation on many of my northern exposed roofs, this tool proved to be light enough to use for hours and not fatigue the operator. They were able to control the swings and reduce or eliminate the potential damage to the roof

Good simple product. I’d like to see it a little heavier in the head but it still cuts well enough for my needs.
