The Estwing EFN64 Pneumatic 16-Gauge 2-1/2 in. Straight Finish Nailer with Canvas Bag is specifically designed for such applications as base moulding, crown moulding, chair rails, door and window casing, furniture construction and cabinetry. This air powered nail gun is compatible with 16-Gauge straight finish nails from 1 in. to 2-1/2 in. and has a dual mode trigger for switching quickly between sequential and bump firing. A magnesium body and a 1-piece drive blade of hardened steel result in a rugged and lightweight tool perfect for extended use over long shifts. The quick jam release provides easy access to the drive blade in the event of a jammed fastener, avoiding delays at the job site. Simply turning a wheel near the trigger will adjust the driving depth of the nails for various applications. A comfort grip handle helps to reduce fatigue and increase control during operation and a 360° adjustable exhaust directs air away from your face. This nailer is perfect for attaching trim and moldings. It’s not heavy, considering its size, which make it easy to handle. I used 1 1/2 ” 16ga finishing nails and the nailer performed perfectly. Loading it is a snap. I particularly like the ease in switching from sequential firing mode to contact mode. Clearing a jam is quick and simple as is the depth adjustment. The exhaust direction is also adjustable The carrying case is included, which is great for transporting nailer, nails and accessories.

This is a great pneumatic finish nailer. It comes with very straight forward directions and illustrations that are very easy to follow. The nailer is very easy to load and unload. Love the idea that there is several different lengths of finishing nails that can be used in this gun. I had to tighten up an old kid’s dresser and this nailer did a perfect job in not time. Just out of curiosity I tried to shoot a 1 ¼ inch directly into a knot of a 2×4 to see if it would penetrate and sank the finishing nail flush with the surface with ease. I look forward to many a years of use out of this nailer.

Worked very well. With any tool like this you need to keep it oiled. Pressure and depth of nail easy to set. 500 nails and no jams. Great value.

Tested the Finish Nailer with 1 1/2″ and 2″ nails and was satisfied that the driving power was there to go through 3 inches of pine board.Loading and unloading of the nails was simple.Setting the Depth adjustment was no issue, but assume that when the tool is further used it will be needed and simple.Like the swivel base on the air connector as it allows for more freedom form a stiff hose connection.Switched between single shot and multiple shot quite easily, and the nails still maintained their depth.The canvas bag is a good addition as can store the extra non-marring pad, otherwise it would be lost.
