I’m doing a remodel job on my house and I’m taking all the old T-111 off. This pry bar has the best leverage from a pet bar. It gets into all the spaces I need, takes out small nails, medium nails and large nails. I highly recommend this pry bar!

Worked great for the project I was doing and needed a different bar than what I had.

Unlike another bar I purchased, the Estwing forms a 90 degree angle that allows one to come up against a joist and still be able to be hammered under nails in the joist hanger. If that angle is under 90 degrees, as was the other pry bar, the shoe can no longer get under the nails.

This pry bar has a great angle with plenty of strength.

This pry bar is great for items where some extra leverage is required. It is typical Estwing high quality, and I expect it to last many many years.

I purchased this to replace one I broke trying to remove a Hilti pin in steel – I should have known better!

I was skeptical at first. This bar is very light! I almost thought it was made of aluminum at first but don’t worry it is definitely a strong steel. Once I started hitting it with a hammer and pried up a sheet of sub-floor the difference was noticeable. Unlike flat bars this thing is rigid, so it will not spring back on you and all the force you put into it is what it transfers. It pings less, it still pings though, when struck by a hammer which is nice for attributing less to hearing loss. Also it is super light so moving around and positioning it is a lot less fatiguing than with a wrecking bar. I felt like a demolition ninja with this thing. All the rigidity of a wrecking bar with the agility of a flat bar. The paint and clear coat does come off easily but with the amount of abuse I put this thing through the structural shape and sharp prying edges are holding up perfectly.

This pry bar was incredibly useful for me and my family when we were replacing the boards on our deck at home! The grind angle and thickness of both of the prying faces are just right for being forced between boards. The broad prying surface is forged at a very nice angle with respect to the I-Beam handle to give a significant amount of leverage when prying, and the 90-degree prying surface is an unstoppable force when driven between objects by a hammer. The steel that this is made from is wonderfully strong, yet surprisingly light, and hardly shows any signs of the outright flogging we gave it with the flat face of a heavy, ball-peen hammer (also an Estwing product) while we were prying up boards and stubborn nails with it!Really, the only complaint – and this is more of a suggestion for improvement – is that the I-Beam handle doesn’t have Estwing’s shock-absorbing grip molded onto it like many of their hammers (including the ball-peen we were using). If this had that grip on it, you could use it forever!Overall, I am very pleased with this and will keep it on my tool-belt when I’m doing anything similar!
