It lived up to the words “NO-MAR” . I really attempted to damage flooring and I could not. I had just the slightest visible area on laminate and I simply lightly buffed it with a soft cloth and it was gone.I appreciate the feel, and there was no damage of the rubber surface of the mallet. You could only see slight marks where it was hit hard on the edge of flooring, but the mallet sustained zero wear. Both the flooring and mallet were unscathed. I especially appreciate the angled dead blow steel end of the mallet for situations which may arise for it’s use. It’s design allows you to get right up to a wall if needed, and it has a full 1″ square of striking surface with just enough angle to reach it areas you otherwise could not. Quite nice thought in the design process, and the machining process is without flaw.

No-Mar – That’s the magic word. There is more than flooring that needs a no-mar hammer. I have put together plastic things that needed more than pushing the parts together and a hammer is too harsh. There are many more things including the flooring that the mallet/hammer was made for that it can be used for. The no-mar (or no dents) is the magic word when it comes to this mallet/hammer.

My first flooring mallet and so far an excellent choice. Having a heavy hammer with a soft side head can be useful in many, many situations. The weight behind the rubber end of this hammer provides much more force as opposed to a typical rubber mallet. As far as using this one for flooring nailers, it is definitely heavy enough. It also has a very good rubber grip on the handle that is not only comfortable, but provides a solid grip even when you are sweating. I like it.
