sturdy and made well. I had to file a little to make the fence go to 0 , but that was minor. cuts metal grate.

Very nice saw. Handle is an improvement over original. I liked the non speed crank vice for what I do better so kept that from my old saw

Bought this for use out in the Factory instead of a Chop Saw. This is a lot less messy (minimal sparks, and a clean edge). We picked up a second regular blade and wrote “Aluminum Only” on it, so we can avoid cross contamination with the steel & stainless that we cut. (We are probably making 50 cuts a day through steel) The guys love using it. It feels solidly built and I’m pretty sure there’s no going back to a standard chop saw now that they’re spoiled but this. HIGH QUALITY!

Great saw but when I bought this I only knew of a 15″ saw and they all come with a 14″ blade. That’s what I thought I was buying and when ordering the salesperson read back the order to me and I verified with her that I was ordering a 15″ saw shipped with a 14″ blade and the response was, “Oh yes, I see that now.” Needless to say, I was delivered a 14″ saw. It’s a fine saw that I recommend but the 15″ is available for the same price from other sources online and some include free shipping also. Again, I recommend the saw but I don’t recommend Home Depot as a source for the saw.The only complaint I have is with the accuracy of and access to the index on the vice. It could easily be much better. I bought this because my DeWalt fiber blade chop saw died and I’ve owned others before and the accuracy of the index is typical–not better than the others but no worse either. An Acme thread on the vice would be better than the screw thread but it hasn’t caused any problems. The heavy cast iron base and vice is a joy to use over the stamped metal used on the other brands. The metal blade doesn’t have the “wandering” issues of a fiber blade so accuracy of the cut is much better and there hasn’t been any issues with the blade loading up like fiber blades can and quit cutting. This saw is not a shop cut off saw but it’s also not a very expensive, 220V, 3 phase saw that requires a fork lift to move.

The Evolution 14″ Chop Saw is a major piece of cutting equipment for our ThinHaus builds. It’s ability to make quick, spark-free and perfectly square cuts on our 16ga steel studs is an important requirement and it performs perfectly.

Came as expected. Table is not completely flat across all surfaces, slightly lower on far left, but flat across the three that are critical, so cuts are accurate enough. That’s the reason there’s not five stars here. Read a LOT of reviews of this saw who all mentioned that the table was flat. Ugh.

The saw is pretty good, once Home Depot sent me the correct item I ordered. They did try and make it right and took 20% off

This saw does a great job. It does not cut as smooth as a bandsaw with coolant but it is a nice cut!We bought a Multi-purpose blade as well and use that most of the time and this makes it a very versatile tool to cut ALMOST anything. This is for MILD Steel only meaning no hardened or stainless steel. We use it cutting Unistrut, conduit, aluminum stock and even wood.

Cuts very well. I have been using it to make a chainsaw mill. Only suggestion I have is the clamping screw should be an Acme square shouldered screw. The current screw galls a little each time you tighten it up. This makes it hard to release the work.

This saw is pretty awesome. It lacks the fit and finish of a Dewalt or Makita, it definitely looks and feels like it’s made in China but it is sturdy and can cut through mild steel like butter. The motor is powerful, you can feel the torque when you pull the trigger. Cuts clean, accurate and fast.
