I bought this in conjunction with a home decking project. It’s a FANTASTIC saw for this type of multi-material project. This one saw, with one blade, really does cut multiple materials, just as advertised. …and it’s a fantastic value.I’m replacing my existing wooden deck with a composite deck, and adding an aluminum rail system. This saw is perfect for this project. I’ve removed the old wooden deck planks for disposal. I cut them in pieces to get them to the dump. The Evolution Power Tools Multi-Material Sliding Miter Saw cut right through the screws that I missed when removing those old wooden planks. I added some pressure treated boards so I can attach the skirting, and this saw powerfully cut right those 2″ x 12’s”. I’m now cutting the resin deck boards to length, and that same saw and blade is doing an outstanding job of providing a clean, accurately cut edge. I look forward to using the same saw and blade to cut the aluminum rail as well. I’m able to do the entire project with this one saw and blade. I don’t know what project is next, but I’m pretty sure this saw will handle it. Great saw. Great value.

Completely satisfied, if it meets all my expectations regarding its operation

This was bought as a throw away tool. The laser stopped working after 1 use. I love my Makita 10 in slider with delta stand , but it’s too heavy, weighing in at nearly 100 lbs. This saw cuts well with wood, VCT, pvc, and aluminum.

The Evolution miter saw is very nearly a superstar. I’ve had it for about a month now, and I’ve used it to cut both wood and metal. The soft start and slower speed take a little getting used to, but to me, the higher torque offsets any disadvantage when cutting wood and softer materials. And cutting metal is a dream. So far, I’ve used it on 1/8″ 2×2 angle iron and it easily went through it at a nice, steady pace. The cuts are very clean, with burring only slightly more than a band saw, but at a faster-cutting speed. Why isn’t the saw a superstar? I have two issues with it. The first is that the table extensions are made of plastic. Although they seem durable enough for wood use, I would have preferred that they were made of cast metal. This is, after all, a saw for metal too, and I can see them getting pretty scarred up or snapped off when moving heavy materials around on them. I use my saw in a shop, but if I was moving it from job site to job site, it would be even more of a concern. The second, and bigger issue for me, is dust collection. This thing is a sawdust pig. Even with a shop vac, sawdust flies everywhere. My old miter saw wasn’t perfect by any means, but the Evolution saw throws as much dust around with the shop vac on as on my old one did without the vac on. For maximum flexibility, I could keep the general purpose blade on, but I’ll be changing over to dedicated blades soon. I’m hoping that with a finer tooth wood blade, the dust will be finer and easier for the vac to collect.Overall, I love this saw and would buy it again in a heartbeat. If I could, I’d rate it at 4 1/2 stars instead of a straight four. If you will only use the saw for wood, I’m sure there are other candidates to consider that may be better. But if you want the flexibility to cut wood, metal, and other materials, then this saw should top your list.

Best investment I ever made. This thing does not disappoint. I have cut a lot of metal with this and it is still going strong.

I purchased the Evolution 10 inch compound miter saw to cut 10 inch wide x 2 1/2 inch thick pavers to finish capping off a retaining wall. The saw cut effortlessly and precisely with the masonry blade. Looking forward to doing more work with this saw.

This saw far exceeds my expectations. It took a minute getting use to the slow start, but the smoothness of the cuts and the acuracy right of the box are absolutely amazing. I have found me a new favorite brand of power tool. Thanks for a great product

This tool did exactly what I wanted it to do. The primary focus was to cut cold hardened steel for automotive fabrication. As expected it has a lower RPM and slow start up with great torque to power thru 1/8 and 1/4 inch angle, very clean cut vs a chop saw and very minimal sparking.

Excellent miter saw, easy set up and works very well. I really like the gradual start up feature on the saw as it enables me to do precise cuts on smaller pieces. Very happy and would recommend it.

Cuts metal like butter. Looks hightec. Laser didn’t work at first until 2nd day. Best miter saw I’ve ever had. Worth every penny. Bought online. Awesome experience picking it up at Home Depot. Fast delivery too. Go for it. This product is not on display. Only internet thru Home Depo.
