I had the commercial EVO with the cast deck, the previous version of this one, or the more expensive one, not sure. Anyway you get clean machine quality cuts but I kept going up and up in blade price because I just could not get the blades to last very long. I really think steel cutting needs cooling or really expensive blades. I was on my third $150 dollar blade when I was faced with the decision of going up to the next price level of blade or selling the saw ($3-500) and I sold the saw. Abrasive is cheaper and if you have the space a band saw is cheaper still. This is a great portable tool but you can spend a lot on blades. Also you cannot cut short pieces of metal; if the work piece jumps all of the teeth can break off. Like I said great field tool but I would go to a water cooled system or water cool this.

Pleasantly surprised by this saw. Used it to cut 1/8 and 3/16 flat and angle steel. Worked great. Cuts were clean and no cleanup required. Fence accurate enough for my purposes. 4 stars because sure how long blade will last. Tips: 1) Don’t force the cut; 2) wear goggles.

Works as expected Wish it had a 22.5 degree mark built into it but was able to engrave a mark myself. The blade cut through a lot of 2 3/8” and 4 1/2” drill pipe for fencing that I was putting around my 1 1/2 acre property. Very impressed

Just bought one and made a few cuts on 1″,1.5″ and .5 ” square tubing. The saw has good power and cuts through mild steel like butter. Much better than my old abrasive saw. I made several 45 degree cuts in the tubing and the cuts were accurate when I put them in a jig and welded them. cuts were better than I expected as I checked the blade with a square and it was a little off from the base. I don’t know how many degrees, but it was noticeable when checking for square. Like I said though, cuts were accurate, didn’t need grinding, and were easy to weld. I could never figure out where these saws are made, therefore, I assume China. I try not to buy goods from there, but this is one of the highest quality things I have bought that was made there.
