Great value for this multi material blade. Started using these last year, no longer using an abrasive cutoff for steel stud framing. Cleaner cuts, very little sparking, and the convenience of using it for wood with a single tool set up

This blade works great. I used this to build 100′ steel deck railing. This included the upper and lower tube and the thousands of spindles. It went through the steel like butter leaving nice edges. Before this, I used to use a chop saw that is slower. I’m not sure about the negative reviews. Follow the specs on the blade. This is not for thicker steels. This is also for a low RPM high torque saw. I would suspect that the negative reviews were attempted on a standard high RPM miter saw.

Item came almost ready to go out of the box, not much assembly needed. You will need to follow instructions on setting it up properly for the stops and angle. During the initial set up I noticed the blade not true, slightly warped. I didn’t let it bother me since I was not that bad. The lock for the angle is not as good as I would like but is functional (too much play, should be metal with tighter tolerance for pivot pin), you need to test cut or check the angle to verify that 45 degrees is not 48 or 42 before locking it in. The saw performed great but every time I switched from 90 to 45 degrees I had to test cut and check the angle…I guess I am spoiled from my other saw. Now switching to metal, saw was good with cutting but this is where the slightly warped blade caused an issue. While cutting some aluminum angle I didn’t let the blade come to a complete stop before lifting the saw from the cut, this is when a tooth of the blade caught on the piece and suddenly stopped the blade…which bent it more. My bad. So I bought a new blade but have yet to test that one.Overall the saw is great, not a precision high quality saw but a good one. For a multipurpose blade it is okay on the cut but not so great with plywoods, some splintering on the ends but not bad with solid woods. With metal it was good, I liked the clean and cool cuts which help reduce the weld prep by not having to take down any burrs. Unlike my abrasive saw that does not cut very straight, leaves burrs and more of a mess.Be aware that the saw starts slow, I have read some reviews where they thought it was a problem. I will be making my own improvements to the saw as time goes on…better knobs and locking lever fabricated from metal.

Completely satisfied, if it meets all my expectations regarding its operation

this is a great blade and it will cut 1/8″ metal with no problem, just don’t rush it. Next time i will purchase the metal only blade for cutting up to 1/4″, it will cut it but will dull very quickly, however the dull blade will still cut the heck out of wood products.

It can cut everything except steel. I tried steel by mistake.
