Very beefy construction. Well designed and rugged. I installed this after a solenoid in a cold water line failed due to crud delivered by the local municipal water company. The water here in Suffolk county on Long Island is probably better than most water anywhere in the country. That’s because the water comes from an aquifer formed during the last ice age. Even with that, I was surprised at how quickly the clear first water filter changed color from white to rusty brown in less than a month. What’s not obvious is how well the other filters are at handling metals and other contaminants. The installation was straight forward and only required about an hour once all the materials were ready to go. I taped into my copper supply with shark bite connectors attaching pex tubing with various shut off valves. I plumbed the system as recommended by the manufacturer allowing me to keep the water going while isolating the filters at filter change time.

I’ve been using this same set for many months, approaching a year! There’s been no dropoff in quality over that time. Full disclosure my volume of water usage is relatively low. though I’d imagine these filters will hold up over much higher usage.

Amazing how much clearer our water is and how little rust staining in our fixtures there is since installing this filter system. We just changed out our filters for the first time and it was pretty simple to do. Bypass the filter, release the water pressure and unscrew the filter housing. Install new filters and screw them back into the housing and return the water supply. Highly recommended.

Everything was excellent but I would’ve thought they would’ve put an extra set of O-rings for the filters . They even mentioned about how easy it was to lose them changing the filters. As much as the unit cost that would be a little expense for a company to take care of their clients.

My well water has a low grade (I believe less than 5 ppm if I remember correctly) but very noticeable sulfur odor. I tried two other big blue canister systems utilizing activated charcoal. The first reduced the odor somewhat. The second (which was a duplicate replacement set of canisters for the first order) had no impact on the odor.These canisters have COMPLETELY eliminated the odor. I guess the kdf filter works!Very happy because the next step would’ve been upgrading to a much more expensive water treatment system.I will update the review to 5 star if the filters last a reasonable amount of time.
