Updated our water filtration system In April. Self-installed, I give it 4/5 on difficulty level for average homeowner. If not skilled in plumbing, I recommend hiring a professional. Instructions for installation were accurate. System set-up/purge instructions must be followed to obtain crystal clear, non-chemical tasting water! Have used this system now for 6 months. Noticed cleaner skin feeling when rinsing soap off in shower. Clothes washer and dishwasher appear to clean items more efficiently with less detergents. Our water is sourced from a well. When tested it was high in arsenic (14 parts per million) and high in manganese. Also had the ‘rotten egg” smell and brown/ black staining. On the advice of Water Express we purchased the whole house, heavy metal filtration system. We have now been using the system for 3 weeks and have had the water retested by a professional water laboratory. Immediately upon connecting the system the bad smell and evidence of staining was removed and after 3 weeks still no evidence of bad smell or staining.However, I was hoping for a better result with regard to the levels of arsenic and manganese. The arsenic is now at 10.1 parts per million, 0.1 above the EPA standard for drinking at !0 parts per million. The manganese is just within recommended limits.Overall I am satisfied with the system. I will update my review on filter life when they need replacing

I didn’t want an RO system because that could remove some of the good stuff in your water, along with the bad.I know I could’ve added things like an Alkaline filter to the RO unit, but I though it would’ve been easier to just get a Whole House system. That way I keep some of the good stuff in the water and get clean water to every faucet in the house. I see this as an absolute win.

Incredible – after years of fighting iron and chlorine in our city water I installed this system. Within 2 days the 1st filter turned from white to as orange as the Home Depot logo! It’s been about a month and noticable change – no odor and feels lots cleaner. It will be interesting to see how long the filters last.

It immediately reduced the smell and discoloration of my well water. Comes enclosed in a free-standing unit. Just stood it up against the wall and attached it with two screws. Easily hooked it up to 3/4 copper in and out pipes with a little help from the Home Depot associate who made sure we had all the parts we needed using Sharkbite flex lines and connectors. Just make sure all your filters and connections are tighten down before letting the water flow.

I’ve been very pleased with the quality and efficiency of this filtration system. We had our plumber install it along with a new pressure tank and hot water heater, and it has worked wonderfully since! The water is crystal clear and I haven’t noticed a drop in water pressure. I love the metal frame and the pressure gauges; also it is nice that the first canister is clear and you can see the initial filtration step (i.e. what your water used to look like pre-filter).

I am the homeowner and installer. I had to make adjustments for plumbing issues (i.e. my inlet was on the opposite side) Nice unit for the money. Had to shim the base, as the adjusters were to short for the slope. Would like to see indicator stickers or clings for the gauges to make it easier to see when pressure changes.

I installed this water filter to my private shallow well and so farhas performed as advertised. Definitely would recommend for hardwater filtration, has removed iron color and staining I was experiencingprior to installation.Also installed an I-spring prefilter to try to extend filter life, time will tell.
