Bring 12TB of your data with you and transfer it to or from your computer via USB 3.0 or eSATA with the silver-brushed 12TB Professional USB 3.0/eSATA External Hard Drive from Fantom Drives. The Professional USB 3.0/eSATA features a rotational speed of 7200 rpm, data transfer rates of up to 6 Gb/s when connected using eSATA, and data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s when connected using USB 3.0. The USB 3.0 interface is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
The drive is compatible with Windows and Mac computers and is powered using an included AC adapter that operates at 110/220V. Also included with this drive are a USB 3.0 cable and a drive stand.

I’ve used Fantom USB drives for 3 years now, and they are always there when I need them. I back up client images to these drives and frequently need to access them. Never a problem. Just put these 4TB drives to use, and just like my other Fantom external drives, they are work like a dream.

I bought this to see if it would work as an external drive with the 8300HDC DVR supplied by my cable company .. the internal drive on the DVR was only 160GB, so it wouldn’t allow storing too many HD movies. I figured that if it didn’t work with the DVR I could always use it for backing up my computer files. When it arrived, I didn’t yet have the eSata to eSata cable I needed for the DVR, so I connected it to my computer via USB 3.0 and it worked immediately and flawlessly .. I copied a bunch of files to it and it achieved very high throughput .. certainly close to the advertised 5gb/sec rate with USB .. When the eSata cable arrived, I tried connection to the DVR and that also happened to work without a hitch, so now I can store at least 6 times as many movies, and operation with the 8300 HDC is completely transparent .. I may have to pick up another unit to use with my computer… although for that purpose a slightly cheaper drive without the Sata interface would suffice. But .. a very nice drive, quiet and fast.

The software loaded was for a media card drive, not an external hard drive. Support at Fantom was NO HELP. I returned item. B&H was extremely nice and VERY helpful.

Best purchase ie made as a drum programmer and a producer. Supports both USB formats and for the price I’m blown away with the amount of worth this product has made for me as a musican and a freelance tech person. I have alloy iTunes linked to it and my music files and with 2TB of storage I’ll likely have years before I come close to filling it up! Get yours and protect your data the right way.

I needed a drive to add to my DIRECTV DVR. This has an esata output that is required with the DIRECTV DVR. Everything works great. Very pleased with this unit.
