The lid has a deep rim with optional straining holes. To strain, line the holes up with the pan’s pour spouts and strain with ease. For covered cooking, rotate the lid to close the holes and moisture will stay inside the pan. To pour, remove the lid and use the pour spouts that are built into the pan body.

I received one of these saucepans to try and review through viewpoints. I was immediately impressed with the design of the pan. The champagne color was very unique and pretty. I have had several people comment about the fact that they like the color of the pan. This pan worked very well. The straining ability of the lid was very handy! I cook past several times a week, and this pan cut down on the amount of dishes. It made cooking and draining the pasta much more convenient than using and cleaning a strainer. I have already recommended this product to some friends and family and will continue to recommend this product to others in the future.

My family is so hard on, well, everything in the kitchen. I have purchased several sets of expensive pots and pans only to find that they end up in the dishwasher when they’re not dishwasher safe, scratched completely beyond repair or (my personal favorite) completely smashed on one side. No one will admit how that one happened. So, I finally decided to try something different. This is it! First of all the champagne finish isn’t too shiny or overwhelming. I love that it’s dishwasher safe and the nonstick coating has held up to everyone’s abuse so well. The handle is slightly wider than other saucepans I’ve owned and it really helps with being able to turn the pan if you’re draining or pouring from the saucepan. The straining lid is a really nice feature and has ended up being one of the things we all like best about it. Even if you’re family is kind to cookware, this is a pan I would highly recommend!!

I have a gas stove so the only downside to this was it’s smaller diameter. Because it’s taller it took the water a bit longer to heat up but the pour spouts work well.

This is a must have for pasta lovers. The unique straining feature integrated in the saucepan lid makes draining liquids a breeze, especially with the 2 different straining sizes-larger holes on one side, smaller on the other. Bonus: it’s is also non-stick…no more constant stirring of pasta to keep it from sticking to the bottom.

I bought this pan to make tea and it has met its need. You can drain from either side so if you are left handed or right handed it works. It also works for draining water when you boil potatoes.

I love how easy this pot is to clean. Also love how I can strain of and not have a bunch of extra dishes. The only thing I don’t like is how the lid doesn’t lock to risk getting burned.

This saucepan is also a great kitchen tool with its built in strainer. The ingenious design couples a 3-quart saucepan with a lid that includes two sizes of strainer holes. Just position the strainer holes in the lid with the pour spout on the edge of the pan. The easy pour spout and strainer lid eliminate the need for a separate strainer. The only thing that could make this product better is if the lid was designed to somehow turn and lock into place so the pan could be strained with one hand without the lid coming off.
