The Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 4-Quart Covered Saucepot compares greatly to other similar products I have tried. I love this 4 qt size. It’s perfect for many different uses other than sauce. You can boil in it, saute, brown etc! You can make all types soups, sauces, stews, boil pasta in this excellent saucepot! I have not had an issue with food sticking to the bottom or burning. I would definitely buy this saucepot. I was not aware of this particular product before the sampling program. I would most definitely recommend this to family and friends!

My mom has the larger version of this when I was a child. 20 years later and it’s still her go-to pot! I like that the smaller size is great for larger batches of sauce yet it holds much more than a regular sauce pan. Minus one star because it is not non-stick. This is to be expected due to the material, but as a busy and frazzled working mom of 2, I’m all over the place in the kitchen and a non-stick coating saves me occasionally when I get sidetracked.

I own a few farberware products and this is one of my new favorite pots to use on a daily basis. I love how heavy it is so I know that it will last a long time. The handles are small enough but sturdy that they don’t get in the way when on the stovetop. The handles do get hot though so when draining I had to use oven mitts to pick up the pot. I also do wish that the lid came with the draining holes instead of having to use a separate drainer. Overall a nice cooking pot that will get plenty of use daily.

My mother and Godmother also cooked with Farberware pots and so does my daughter who is a chef. This size pot is our Sunday dinner sauce pot although I have many sizes of pots and frying pans and the electric skillet. I would recommend this cookware to everyone.

My Mom gave me the set for my wedding shower 42 years ago and I have been a full time cooker I mean they were used constantly. They still look new. However I recently was boiling water in my 4 qt one handle pot and the bottom separated from the pot. It was my fault I forgot it and the water boiled all the way down and burnt the pot. I cant seem to find a similar pot to replace it, I see the two handle aluminum pot but don’t see the one with one handle. I have purchased some of the newer pots from Farberware over the years but none of them were as heavy and well made as my original set. I have included a picture of the bottom of the pot. Is there a replacement of the same pot?

I was impressed by how lightweight this saucepot is. I have used it for steaming and for cooking up a bunch of ingredients. It worked fine both times. The handles are rated to withstand heat up to 500 degrees but that doesn’t mean they don’t get hot so have pot holders handy! The knob on the lid felt a bit loose but I was able to easily tighten it. I’m glad to have this as an option for cooking pasta and other dishes.
