This is a good size percolater. Bigger than I thought. Which is great for when I’d like to make more than 1 cup of coffee. It takes a little bit longer to brew than a Mocha, but with some patience and an extra large coffee cup in hand, it does what it’s supposed to and hasn’t disappointed. I love it!

Makes a perfectly good cup of coffee. I primarily bought it in case of power outages so it won’t get daily use. Looks good and cleans up pretty well.

Does it have any aluminum parts? Is it 100% stainless steel ? Because the interior feels very much like aluminum and the outer shell actually feels like stainless steel. Because aluminum gives the coffee a metallic tasteIs there an aluminum nut inside the at the base that comes in contact with the coffee? Is the filter basket stainless steel or aluminum?

After fooling around with electric drip makers for decades, I decided to go back to the way we did it in Boy Scouts and camping. So glad I did, but wish I had done it sooner. But I digress. I like the coffee it makes, and perfectly happy with the overall construction of the pot, except for, you guessed it, the knob / window in the top. After only a couple of months of weekends only use, it broke! Somebody in design didn’t do their homework. I mean it just broke. Wasn’t dropped, hammered, or run through a stone crusher, it just broke. This can’t cost a lot to make, so maybe a spare should be included unless the design is changed to make it more robust. I’ll buy a couple replaements though so I can return to coffee Nirvana at some inflated price.

love the percolator, makes good coffee and easy to use. The downside is the glass view knob on the lid has broken after having the pot for 1 month. It appears to be a very common issue. Seems Farberware need to develop a stronger part. Replacement part is not cheap.
