I love this coffee percolator. Wish I could find the use and care instructions that came in the package. It needs a good cleaning and I think I read about using water and an amount dishwashing detergent during a perc cycle?

After fooling around with electric drip makers for decades, I decided to go back to the way we did it in Boy Scouts and camping. So glad I did, but wish I had done it sooner. But I digress. I like the coffee it makes, and perfectly happy with the overall construction of the pot, except for, you guessed it, the knob / window in the top. After only a couple of months of weekends only use, it broke! Somebody in design didn’t do their homework. I mean it just broke. Wasn’t dropped, hammered, or run through a stone crusher, it just broke. This can’t cost a lot to make, so maybe a spare should be included unless the design is changed to make it more robust. I’ll buy a couple replaements though so I can return to coffee Nirvana at some inflated price.
