Small form factor meets big potential in the black Define Nano S Mini-Tower Case from Fractal Design. Supporting mini-ITX boards, this case is designed to hold full-size components and keep them cool. Up to four drives can be installed in the Define Nano S case, thanks to two bays accommodating 2.5 or 3.5″ drives and two dedicated 2.5″ mounting positions behind the motherboard. Two expansion slots are also present, allowing users to install GPUs up to 12.40″. CPU coolers up to 6.38″ are also supported, as are ATX power supplies up to 6.30″, although smaller PSUs are recommended for easier cable management.
Two case fans come preinstalled, including one 140mm fan on the front of the case and one 120mm fan at the rear. Users can install up to four additional fans for improved airflow, or they can opt for liquid cooling. This case is compatible with many DDC and D5 pump variants, and mounting a reservoir inside the case requires removing one of the 2.5/3.5″ drive bays. Users can also install 280mm radiators up to 12.28″ long and 5.79″ wide on the front of the case, or 240mm radiators at the top of the case when motherboard components remain below 1.38″. The rear panel also supports a 120mm radiator with a width of 4.92″, while the bottom of the case can fit a radiator up to 3.35 by 6.30″.
Featuring a steel frame, the Define Nano S also sports sound-dampening steel panels on both sides. The top panel features sound dampening as well as Fractal’s ModuVent technology, allowing users to remove part of the top panel for increased airflow. The open interior also facilitates clear airflow from the front intake to rear exhaust fan. A front I/O panel incorporates two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, as well as separate 3.5mm ports for audio input and output.
