The Freeman P2PFFK Professional Pneumatic Flooring Nailer Kit (2-Piece) is ideal for construction contractors at the job site as well as DIYers at home. This must-have kit contains a 3-in-1 15.5-Gauge and 16-Gauge 2 in. Flooring Nailer and Stapler (PFL618C), and a 4-in-1 18-Gauge 1-5/8 in. Mini Flooring Nailer and Stapler (PFBC940). The 3-in-1 Flooring Nailer and Stapler fires 16-Gauge T-cleats and L-Cleats along with 15.5-Gauge 1/2 in. crown staples, and is specifically designed for the installation of 1/2 in. to 3/4 in. solid tongue and groove hardwood flooring. The one piece drive blade is made of hardened steel for durability, while the body is constructed of lightweight die cast aluminum. 2 interchangeable no mar base plates provide stability for this air powered flooring nailer and stapler and ensure professional results by preventing damage to finished flooring surfaces. The 4-in-1 Mini Flooring Nailer and Stapler shoots 18-Gauge brad nails and narrow crown staples, and the 45° base makes it perfect for installing 1/4 in. to 1/2 in. solid or engineered flooring. Easily remove the flooring foot, and this multi-purpose tool also functions as a brad nailer and stapler for trim and finish work. I really only needed the larger flooring nailer, but couldn’t resist the combined sale price. The larger tool is excellent quality for solid hardware floors that require 2″ cleats. The mallet is sweet. Unfortunately I couldn’t use the smaller nailer for tight spots because I needed 2″ nails and it only took up to 1-5/8. I knew before hand that the smaller nailer is meant for engineered wood flooring so no big deal. I plan to use it on other jobs as a straight brad pin nailer. (I did have to borrow a 2″ straight nailer for the job, to do the first few and last few rows.)

I like the air impact rather than just a manual floor nailer. I have used both. The air allows for a much easier action and allows cleats to always penetrate evenly. Once set for depth gun worked great. If I had the choice all over again I would again choose this Freeman kit. The second smaller floor nailer also allows you to nail right up to the wall. The smaller nailer is also a must for doing stairs especially when you use standard hardwood floor planks for stair treads. I am a novice but even so my hardwood floor install went well and looks great.

Finished a 1700 sq ft job with no issues. Have another small job lined up and expect the same great results. The stapler is very handy when close to walls. May not last for 20 yrs, but for price paid one big job or project will pay for it.
