So far this is a good tool. The only problem is that Home Depot doesn’t sell the 18 gauge cleats for it.

Clear nailer works great. No issues. Finish nailer works great with staples. Not so well with finish nailes. Leaves a mark in the shape of a staple even when shooting nails.

The nailer has been great. 5 stars for this product. The stapler not so much. It handles small staples just fine but longer staples (1.5″) have a 50% success rate with penetrating oak.

both nailers work very well ,the price was great , installed 1100 sq.ft. engineered 3/8 did not jam once.

In the month I’ve been using these nailers I have installed thousands of feet and only hade a handfull of jams. I’m impressed by them they seem to be compatible with the cleats and staples as well as the pin nails I have available in my area.

My goodness, where were you when I began installing hardwood floors 45 years ago! There’s just about nothing this kit won’t handle.Just about any pancake compressor is all you need to go with the staples or L-cleat fasteners. My first job, a 12 x 14 prefinished 3/4″ oak went down in a day. My second, a 9 x 12 1/2″ bamboo was done in six hours. Not one jam.Great warranty. A case would have been a luxury.

Both guns worked great right out of the box. The only thing I had to adjust was the air pressure coming out of my compressor. I really didn’t think I would need our use the smaller nail/staple gun but it worked great for the second row and other tight spots. I installed 5/8″ solid Bamboo with out a problem. The only thing you have to keep in mind is to make sure that the foot of the gun is on the tongue and not the surface of the board, it is easy to make this mistake. One other thing is you need to hit it with moderate pressure. To light and the cleat is not sunk all the way. Then you need to finish sinking it with a nailset. I installed this same flooring in my mothers house a couple of months ago but did the glue down method. I will never do that again. What a mess and you can’t help not getting glue on the boards. We spent most of the time cleaning boards afterwards. Again I highly suggest this combo set.

The combo is made up of a floor nailer (PF18GLCN) and a 4-in-1 brad nailer (PFBC940). It is extremely versatile and can do a number of flooring jobs well. However, it really shines with prefinished exotic or bamboo flooring in the 1/2″ range and is best suited for those kinds of installations. Since the bulk of my work is with 3/4″ unfinished American hardwood flooring, it’s not quite as useful for our renovation operation as I would have hoped. The floor nailer shoots 18-gauge L-cleats and nothing else. This is among the most expensive kinds of flooring fastener. For thicker unfinished hardwoods, staples are much cheaper, and the thicker cleats tend to have more holding power. The 18-gauge comes into its own when working with thinner exotic hardwoods and bamboo floors. And when it comes into its own, it’s an impressive floor nailer. You won’t have any sort of problem with this as long as you keep it properly oiled. The brad nailer is similarly well-made, but I prefer to use a 16-gauge finish nailer to face nail rows of the (softer and thicker) unfinished American hardwoods I use, and in the smaller rooms we typically do wood flooring in (we rarely work on residential properties of more than 2200 square feet), a regular finish nailer will do the trick nicely on the limited areas that require face nailing. So really, if you’re buying this to do thinner, more brittle prefinished exotics or bamboo, you’ll be in great shape. It’s a great combo kit and you’ll get serious linear footage out of it. If you’re buying this for thicker solid unfinished hardwoods, it will work, but not as well as tools designed to shoot thicker-gauge staples and cleats.

This worked great for 375 sq ft of 3/4″ Brazilian Koa. I shot over 3000 nails without a jam. I do recommend a swivel air fitting because the fitting comes out angled to the left side and causes problems up against walls and cabinets. This was a great value

Outstanding set of nailers. I installed 450 sq ft of 3/4″ hickory hardwood flooring in 2 adjacent rooms. This was my first install so I was not confident about installing this by myself. After reading the instructions and watching a few online videos I decided to go for it. The nailers were very easy to use and I did not have a single jam during the entire process. The project went very smooth and my floors look great. I have received nothing but compliments and people are now asking me to install their wood floors. The price was well worth it considering the amount of money saved if I had hired someone else to do the work. Absolutely ecstatic that I purchased these tools. They make me look like a professional installer!!!

The nail gun worked, was reasonably priced but unfortunately the nails for this gun are not sold in the local stores. Had to drive 30 miles to get nails. really a hassel. In future may want to include in the literature that the nails should be bought on-line when you buy the gun cause they’re not in the stores. Also the instuctions were missing 12 pages.

Works well only unable to get nails in any store had to order on line

Floor nailer worked great. Used Powernail 18 gauge L cleats. No issues at all. When lined up correctly and with proper air pressure set, cleats went in fine. I had to use the 5/8″ shoe on the bottom to set the cleats properly, even though the floor was only 1/2″. Think that was more likely a floor manufacture issue. As for the 18 gauge gun, it drives staples fine. If you want to use it with nails, it is just too inconsistent (misfires and nails not driven correctly) and it leaves too large a indent in the material for an 18 gauge nail.

Works great, just wish the smaller gun could use cleats
