The Freeman P55BBK 55-Piece Impact Driver Bits and Oscillating Blades Kit with Case is ideal for DIYers tackling home improvement and repair projects as well as professional construction contractors at the job site. The hex bits are universally compatible with all brands of impact drivers and are built to last up to 10-times longer than standard screwdriver bits. The cutting blades are heat-treated for strength and durability and outperform overpriced comparative replacement saw blades to cleanly and precisely cut materials such as wood, metal, drywall, plastic, fiberglass and PVC. A 3 dimensional design reduces vibration and provides a higher torque transfer for tough jobs. These metal blades are compatible with most oscillating multi-function tools, such as the Freeman PMTCKWB and those by DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ridgid, Porter-Cable, Fein, Dremel and more. This collection of the most commonly used bits and blades includes 40 impact-ready hex bits and 15 cutting blades, each with a black oxide finish to resist corrosion and enhance durability. The 55-Piece Impact Driver Bits and Oscillating Blades Kit also comes with a zippered EVA case for grab-and-go convenience and will get you back to work quickly when you need a new impact driver bit or sharp cutting blade for your oscillating tool.

You get a lot of value out of this 55 piece set. It’s actually more than 55 pieces, being that there are 40 impact bits, 15 oscillating blades, 2 adapters for the oscillating blades to fit Dremel and Bosch tools, 4 plastic cases for each of the sets of impact bits, and the large case it all comes in. So essentially 62 pieces but it’s refreshing to see a manufacturer count just the tools in the tool set and not the extraneous pieces as part of the set for advertising purposes. The impact bits are a good set for standard use. 40 pieces total of 10ea of the following hex bits: Phillips #2, #2 Square, T20, and T25. It seems the T20 is becoming fairly standard for smaller deck screws so this is nice to have. A good arrangement for general home use and professional use. The oscillating blades are standard steel versions so they are, in my professional opinion, mostly good for cutting soft wood and occasionally hardwood and plastics. Anything like nails and you’ll want carbide or will be changing blades constantly. But for cutting trim and because you get so many these will serve you well, even if you burn through them.Overall a nice set, either as a first set or to supplement your existing stocks. The case itself is nice, although somewhat bulky for what it carries. I’ll probably separate the bits and blades and actually use the case for something else.

This item deserves three separate reviews, which are all included here.1. The Driver BitsThis set contains 40 bits: 10 each of #2 Phillips, 10 of T20 , 10 of T25, and 10 of #2 square. I am disappointed that there are no #1 or #3 Philllips. It would be better for me if there were a more diverse selection. Not being Canadian, I will most likely never use the square drivers (I’m 62 years old and haven’t used one yet). On first use, the black finish wore away, but I’m hoping the bits will last better than some others which have broken in the past.2. The Cutting BladesWith a better variety, I’m a bit more satisfied with these blades that I expected to be. They ship with adapters for Bosch and Dremel, but fit perfectly on my Dremel MM30 without the adapter. In fact, I couldn’t make the adapter work, so I don’t know which models it might fit. The cutting is as expected; a little better than no-name brands and not quite as fast and clean as Milwaukee (always my first choice).3. The Carrying CaseThis thing is sturdy and solid, with a good zippered closure, but has no use for me with these tools. I keep my bits with my impact driver and my blades with the reciprocating tool, each of which have plenty of storage in their respective cases. I will find another use for this case, as its quality deserves a place in my tool room.

The machine itself is fine, it works but the bits it comes with are cheap.

Very nice set of oscillating cutting blades and impact bits. I was very pleased they come in a nice semi hard case for storage. There are 40 bits included 10 of each of the listed bit types. I used the torx bits during my first all day build. They performed very well with no stripping of the screws or the bit was noted. They seem to be made a very high-quality metal. I like that the oscillating blades fit on multiple types of oscillating tools and let the set comes with 5 different blades each of which is a 3 pack . I did try the fitting on my Milwaukee tool and it fit perfectly. This would be a really great set for a homeowner or DIYer.

BLADES FIT MOST MULTI TOOLS; ONLY 4 BIT TYPES; OVERSIZED CASE — The Freeman Impact Driver Bits and Oscillating Blades Kit with Case (55-Piece) may be more appropriate for a trades person who uses an impact driver and a multitool almost daily rather than a DIYer. Combining replacement impact bits and multitool blades into a single kit is a curious combination. Separate kits may be more logical. When I read that the kit had 40 impact driver bits, I thought that there would be at least 8 bit types but there are only 4: PH2, #2SQUARE, T20, and T25. It would take a DIYer a long time to use up 10 bits of even the most common bit type. And one or two of the bit types may not be used too often. My Craftsman driver bit set has 8 different types of driver bits but only one of each. The Freeman bits do work well but I am surprised by the narrow neck on the Freeman bits which might lead to breaking vs. the Craftsman bits. See the photo. There are three multi-tool blades for each of five types. I tested the blades for wood cutting with my Craftsman Multi-tool. Although they fit the tool, the blades did not cut as well as my existing blades. The other blades may work well. The Freeman blades fit almost every brand of multitool and have adapters for two brands. It may be that fitting all may not work well with some. The blades are easy to change since one side is open. The case that comes with the kit is poorly designed and oversized by about 40% so it does not provide efficient storage. Instead of using the case, I will put the four types of bits into one of the four plastic bit cases for current use and store the other three. I will store the multitool blades in the cardboard box that came inside the case. See photos. The kit is made in China.

Have been using Oscillating Power Tools like this one for years. They are easier to handle than bigger units, and can be made multi-functional with the variety of attachments able to be purchased.Normal issue with tool was that it was not powerful enough to cut through material, like tile and grout, even though blades for that purpose were available.Additional issue was that there were only two or three speeds which could be used. This unit has 6 speeds, and I found that even on grout, the motor was quite powerful and made the work easier. Also liked the idea that attachments previously purchased would fit this unit.

It is really overkill to put these bits and blades in the oversized shell casing but there is nothing wrong with the blades and bits! The driver bits are standard so they fit all of my drivers. The oscillating blades fit my Ryobi as well as Craftsman. I just finished installing two bathroom fans from scratch using the wood/drywall blades. I just started cutting out the damaged ceiling in my bathroom where the upstairs neighbors toilet leaked. Too bad it doesn’t come with the blades to remove grout.

The Freeman kit (model P55BBK) contains both blades for oscillating multi-function tools and impact rated driver bits for drills/drivers. Everything comes packed in a “universal” case. There are 40 bits and 15 cutting blades included. (The pieces included are listed on the Depot web page). The blades are well made and seem to work as well as the OEM blades that I normally use. The blades are also marked with a ‘depth gauge’ (see photo) that can help keep you aware of how far you’ve gone into the work. Fit and finish of the blades is excellent. They fit my DeWalt multi-tool without needing an adapter. If your tool does require a ring adapter, two are included in the Freeman kit (see photo below that shows which tools need the adapter). The bit drivers are equally well made. One neat feature – the small boxes that the bits come in (see photo) do not ‘self-destruct’ once opened; rather, the box opens and closes well and can be reused when storing the bits. There are molded-in hangers (see photo) if you want to store the bit cases on pegboard. The ‘universal’ storage case is nice but isn’t dedicated to housing either blades or bits. It’s simply a zippered case with a small storage net in one side and a dividing flap. I’ve placed the blades in my multi-tool toolbox where my DeWalt resides, and the bits in my “drill kit” toolbox where a drill and bit driver live. YMMV, but I plan to repurpose the nice Freeman case to hold some other tool (yet to be determined). This gear works as advertised and is a nice collection of the “expendables” that I normally have on hand.HTHRegards,Jim

Freeman Impact Driver Bits and Oscillating Blades Kit with Case (fifty-five Pieces). A construction worker cannot have too many impact bits. These are designed to stand up to the rigors of everyday use and there are enough of each size to last through various jobs so trip to the store are kept to a minimum. The oscillating blades are designed so that the securring bolt does not have to be completely removed to change blades; simply loosen the bolt and it is a quick change. the kit includes quick adapters for Dremel and Bosch for quick blade change. The depth gauge is an extra nice touch, too.

Fifteen pack of “Universal” oscillating tool blades plus four 10-packs of impact bits (10 each of #2 square, #2 phillips, T20 and T25). It all comes in a nice padded case which is useful for holding other things (ski googles perhaps) and the plastic boxes the bits come in seem very handy as well – I will likely mix up my own assortment of bits and use those boxes to carry them around. The quality seems average for this sort of thing – the blades are painted black, and the paint is lumpy around the mounting holes which will probably take some scrapping off. One of the blades was clearly warped right out of the box and probably won’t cut straight at all. I did like that the blades have depth marks on them. Always helpful when trying to avoid plunging too deep.It comes with a little sheet of paper that says the blades are compatible with these tools – Milwaukee, Makita, Dewalt, Porter Cable, Chicago Electric, Rigid JobMax, Fein MultiMaster, Worx Sonicrafter Hyperlock, Rockwell Sonicrafter Hyperlock and Craftsman. It also comes with two tiny adapters that are labelled for Bosch Multi-X and Dremel MultiMax. I would ignore those. There is little chance the tiny adapters won’t get misplaced…

These are high quality tools. I quickly replaced my small bits with these nice 2″ bits in my carry-round bag. The saw blades all worked great and cut well. The case is hard sided and well made. Unfortunately the quality of the individual pieces may not add up to a quality product overall. The bag, for instance, has no way to organize the blades or bits other than tossing them in and fishing them out. The bits include 1 square, 2 star and 1 Phillips head (10 pcs each). The saw blades require a completely different tool, so why are they packaged together? I’m a DIYer, not a pro, so maybe there are jobs out there that require just these replacement parts. If not, you may want to look around.

I was happy to see a carrying bag (for the tool and its accessories) when I opened up the box of the Freeman Oscillating Multi Tool. I have only owned it for two weeks and have used it on just one job so far. That was to cut through some existing drywall to make a hole for some gas piping for a new stove (from Home Depot). Behind part of the drywall was a two x four stud, the Freeman tool with the cutting head was able to cut those 2 x 4s with ease. One thing that I do not like is the hex tool for tightening the various heads, the first time I used it I did not tighten it enough, my bad. Once I tightened it down there were no problem with that. Some other manufacturers have a quick release for head removal. So far so good, and this oscillating tool from Freeman has met my expectations.
