The Freeman P5FRFNFWSCB Pneumatic Framing and Finishing Nailers and Staplers Combo Kit with Canvas Bag and Fasteners (5-Piece) is an essential collection of nail guns for construction contractors and DIYers. This assortment of air powered tools contains a 21° 3-1/2 in. Full Head Framing Nailer (PFR2190), 16-Gauge 2-1/2 in. Straight Finish Nailer (PFN64), 18-Gauge 2 in. Brad Nailer (PBR50), 18-Gauge 1-5/8 in. Narrow Crown Stapler (PST9040), and 20-Gauge Fine Wire Stapler (PFWS). I purchased this online, April 2016. After a solid year’s’ worth of use I can give you an honest evaluation of these nail guns. My garage is generally full of name brand tools like DeWalt and Snap-On. I saw this nail gun kit on sale for $229 and I needed a couple guns to finish a project. I had been using a couple cordless nailers because they are so convenient…. no hoses, no lugging around a 100 pound compressor….. but didn’t have access to them so I ordered this set thinking I would upgrade later to my “black & yellow” brand during black friday sales. I oiled them before each use with a lightweight oil (3in1 or air tool oil) and I cleaned them after each use. I finished that project and was impressed. I ordered a lightweight air compressor with aluminum tanks and a swivel that mounts to the end of the air hose, and continued to use the guns to do more handyman jobs and build several good sized home improvement projects to my own home. When the time came to upgrade, I couldn’t come up with a legit reason to do it. These guns have performed flawlessly. No jams, no air leaks… I waited over a year to write a review so I could give others an honest, time tested, unbiased review. Far too often, a user will post a review out of excitement from having a new tool (toy)…. long before they’ve had time to really test the tool. This kit came ready to use. It included air hose adapters already installed, an assortment of nails and staples, tool oil, and the carry bag was decent quality too. I wouldn’t have second thoughts about buying these guns again and I have recommended them to other “fix-it guys” I know. I am impressed. To upgrade to my favorite brand….. The $229 I paid for this entire kit I could only buy one ( or two if I catch a sale) DeWalt guns. Unbeatable value.

I tested the set and you can rest assured these nail guns are great for the DIY. Lots of home projects to do and the combination of nail guns seems like it will handle anything a DIY or Pro might need to do. Give this set a chance before you spend for a high dollar brand.

I have only used the 3 larger guns so far but they work well. I have had a couple of jams that happened when the 16 AWG nails got down to 2-3 but started keeping a closer watch and refilled before getting to the end and not had any problems since. Only minor concern is that the dust covers on the air jacks do not have very strong retention and will be surprised if they stay in place after a few months of cycling.

Just like the first time you used a cordless drill as a screwdriver. You’ll wonder how you managed thus far. This tool makes your life so much easier. So far I’ve used it to secure loose boards on my deck and re-secure molding around my BBQ island. Hardest part is dragging out the compressor but well worth it. I highly recommend, especially when on sale.You will want to get things done.

Am plesently surprised at the quality of the framing nailer. It adjusts dept very quickly and easily. Better overall nailer than Bostich N80. (Bostich was OLD ) will have to see how this holds up. At 50% off it can’t be beat. Only wish it came with roofing nailer instead of one of the finish nailers or staplers.

These guns exceeded my expectations. I have a couple other guns (well known name brand) but needed a stapler and a framer…. so when this kit was advertised for less than I would have paid for the framing nailer alone I ordered it. Each gun came with an air hose coupler and the guns fit easily inside the soft side carry case. I’ve used the stapler, one of the finish nailers, and the framing nailer. I haven’t experienced any jams or misfires in the 3 weeks of normal use. The finish nailer has seen the majority of work and I am impressed with it. Not sure if these would hold up to construction / home builder level of use but for the home or handy man these are a great bargain.
