Adjusting depth didn’t seem to vary much no matter how much you turn the knob. I’m not an experienced nailer.

Packed well. Includes a starter bottle of oil, essential to avoid rapid internal wear. Good instructions. Will take nail-coils from 3/4″ to 1-3/4″, wire-collated on the usual 15 degree slant. Feels good in the hand. Weighted toward the front (the business end). Nice rubbery grip sits well in hand or glove. Keep a relaxed but firm grip. Let it come up a bit in the strike. If you try to force it down the bounce triggers an extra nail. Reloads real easy. Latch works good, coil cover swings up and back for clearance over the coil seat. Magazine height adjusts with a twist and lift. Trigger-lock “safety” to reduce accidents. (But always assume a gun is dangerous!) You can buy roofing nailers for less or for a lot more. Full-time large-crew roofing specialists already know what they want. Small contractors and ambitious homeowners will be well-served by this tool.

The drill works well.

I don’t do a lot of roofing but my antique nailer finally failed so I ordered this one. Once I received it I had to run to my local HD to pick up some nails. The magazine is easy to adjust for different size nails. The weight with nails is not too much. With the transparent bucket, it’s easy to keep an eye on the nail level. Adjusting the nail depth was simple. Just used it to install 12 square and my hand was not tired or sore at the end. I like the rubber grip, that helps make it comfortable when using it for long periods. I would recommend this.

As a former contractor, I have used a lot of nailers over the years and this coil nailer seems to be a good value for what it does. Here is what I observed:• It’s comfortable in the hand. The rubber grip feels good to hold on to. • It’s not too heavy or too light. I feel like I could use it all day on a roof. • Loading is simple once you familiarize yourself with how to do it. • The adjustable nail tray is also a nice feature to make sure the nails are aligned properly but it takes a little practice to get it set correctly. • Adjusting the nail driving depth is easy with the turn of a knob with a thumb or finger on the side of the gun. This is an improvement over many more expensive models that require a wrench. • The magnetic nail holder makes aligning the nails in the gun easier and ensures the last nail will not jamb in the gun.• The tap (bump) fire feature is great. This makes nailing much faster and keeps your trigger finger from getting tired. • The adjustable shingle guide is also a nice feature to help make sure the shingles will be where you want them.• It includes some oil, which they recommend using every time, and some wrenches. For the price, this seems like a very nice coil nailer. I think this would be a good addition for any homeowner who wants to install their own roof or contractor who is looking at getting a good gun for a good price.
