The nailer works like a champ. It is so easy to use even my wife was able to use it. I cut the pieces and she would nail them in. The only negative I have is I did not receive an owner’s manual with the nailer. I had to call and on the second attempt they got it correct.

The nailer works great. I am currently using 2″ L cleats to lay 2000 sq ft of 3/4″ rift and quartered white oak flooring in widths of 3 1/4, 4, and 5″. I’ve had the nailer for a month now.I like the offset air hookup which works to help keep the hose out of the way for right handed persons (Sorry lefties).I like the fact that it will shoot L & T cleats plus staples which gives me lots of options. Staples are cheaper but I think cleats hold better over time during expansion and contraction and I think they don’t damage the tongue of the wood as much. The base is wide and is easier to quickly get in place due to it’s stability so I can nail faster than my old gun. I’ve shot 2000 nails through it so far without one misfire. The only time I’ve had a jam is when I directly hit a sub floor screw. It has a quick release to open the front and clear the jam. I did this and was nailing again in less than a minute. My last tool required a wrench to remove 4 allen screws. The nails are loaded into the magazine along the center of the magazine as opposed to the from the side as on others. This makes it easier to get the nails in because you don’t have to tilt the tool or hold the new strip in place while the magazine is being closed. Just stick them in and close the slide door. On the other had, if a stray nail turns sideways and falls into the loading channel it is harder to get out than the other way. I just took the full strip out and turned the gun upside down and it fell out with no problems. I then put the full strip in first and then dropped the single nail at the back of the new strip and it worked great. That only happened once to me. Usually I just drop the new strip in and go. When it does run out of nails it has a different sound and if you are paying attention you’ll know to drop more nails in.The only thing that I have noticed is that the gun has to be almost completely empty before another strip of nails will fit in the magazine. I’m ok with that because if the magazine was longer it wouldn’t be able to get as close to the wall when nailing away from the wall due to the magazine sticking out and I would complain more about that. If it were longer it would mean having to blind nail using my 15 ga finish nailer for more strips of wood until I had the clearance to use this one.

Purchased this flooring nailer for a small job using L-cleats. Works fantastic and LOVE the quick release feature to clear the nail jams. The nailer only jammed twice on me during my first job, assuming I hit some kind of knot in the wood or subfloor, but was super easy to clear. Didnt have to dig for my tools and waste a bunch of time. Nailer is pretty lightweight and works perfectly so far with a few drops of oil as the only maintenance from what I can tell.
