The Freeman PF1618GLCN Pneumatic 3-in-1 16-Gauge and 18-Gauge 2 in. Flooring Nailer provides DIYers and professional contractors with a solution that takes the guess work out of what flooring nailer to buy. For the installation of more common tongue and groove hardwood flooring, such as 5/8 in. to 3/4 in. oak, maple, and hickory, the 16-Gauge T or L cleat is ideal. If you’re installing 3/8 in. to 3/4 in. engineered or solid tongue and groove flooring, including bamboo, stranded bamboo, carbonized bamboo, or exotic hardwoods, the 18-Gauge L-cleat is your fastener. The anodized aluminum magazine allows you to load 16 or 18-Gauge T or L cleats ranging in sizes from 1-1/4 in. to 2 in. without making any adjustments. The 1 piece drive blade is made of hardened steel, with a rugged and lightweight aluminum cylinder. The body of the nailer is constructed of durable die cast aluminum to stand up to daily use. Featuring 3 interchangeable base plates, this flooring nailer provides stability and protects finished surfaces from damage. Height adjustment of the base plates allows you to precisely line up with your nailing area. The Pneumatic 3-in-1 16-Gauge and 18-Gauge 2 in. Flooring Nailer also includes a long reach fiberglass mallet with a padded grip and rubber head, air tool oil, and adjustment wrenches, and is covered by Freeman’s 7-year Limited Warranty and 90-day Wearable Parts Warranty.

This Freeman Pneumatic 3-in-1 Cleat Flooring Nailer is the most Versatile I’ve seen. Everything you need to install all kinds of hardwood flooring. You get a selection of Plates to adjust to the thickness of the flooring you want to install. You can use 16 gauge and 18 gauge cleat nails from 1 1/4″ to 2″, depending on floor thickness. Heavy duty Fiberglass Mallet and comes with oil, wrench and manual.

As a result, this flooring nailer will handle any type of flooring out there.Flooring nailers are designed to install flooring using either staples, or L-Cleat’s.Using L-Cleats in the installation of flooring is far superior to staples, and as such, these type of nailers will generally cost more.The advantages of this flooring nailer are numerous.1. very good product. works exactly as described. a previous reviewer is correct – you have to be careful and take your time with the alignment. i’m laying 1400 sq ft of 1/2″ bamboo (half way done) and i’ve messed up 2 boards by trying to hurry and not lining up the nailer correctly. when used (and lined up) correctly, it works great! simple little hit with the mallet gives consistent results. i have my compressor set at 75 lbs, which seems about right for the flooring i have (strand bamboo, very hard). when down to last few nails, RELOAD rather than let it run out.
