This air powered flooring nailer is compatible with 20-Gauge L-cleats from 1 in. to 1-1/4 in. and 4 interchangeable base plates allow you to work on 5/16 in. to 5/8 in. flooring. An ergonomic dual handle design and a light strike bumper make long shifts possible by reducing fatigue while increasing comfort and control. Constructed of high strength and lightweight aluminum with heat treated steel parts, this durable tool is built-to-last. An anodized aluminum magazine further extends the life of this rugged flooring nailer. A semi-quick jam release allows for easy access to the drive blade in the event of a jammed fastener. This Freeman PF20LM Pneumatic 20-Gauge 1-1/4 in. L-Cleat Flooring Nailer I received today has me quite excited. I am a DIY advanced age senior which bought a primary residence built in 1952. Needless to say I have spent a good deal of my time renovating. Found water damage under several sections of carpet and will have to replace the floors. When I was young I helped my Dad replace a tongue and groove front porch and know that this nailer will certainly be perfect for that job. The light weight is an advantage for me along with several plate options. I haven’t reached the time to use it yet but like planning ahead and unpacked it and took a photo in one of the rooms that it is going to be used in. Read up on Freeman tools and their reputation is very strong and reviews are quite favorable. Since I have held it and got a feel for it I understand why. Many features available which I’m also looking forward to discovering shortly. Light years away from using cut nails. Knowing it will perform at @ 65psi means it will operate with most if not all compressors. Given all the nice touches this gun has given me one less thing to worry about going forward. I received the PNEUMATIC 1-1/4 IN. 20-GAUGE L-CLEAT FLOORING NAILER to test and review for Home Depot. I am not a floor installer by trade, but i have a neighbor who is and I was able to join him on a small job to test the nailer. Once he gave me a few easy lessons, I was helping him install oak flooring. The nailer performed without any failures. It was a breeze to use.
