Like the title says it is an overall good stapler. The biggest drawback on smaller boards 2.25′ you can not nail the first two or the last two rows due to the slant. Also when the staples get low say the last 10-12 the gun will misfire from time to time. It is a good value however compared to others I have used.

This stapler was not my first choice. I originally bought a different one online only to be told a few days later that the order was cancelled not back ordered but cancelled?I was not happy! So back to the website to find a replacement. I called customer service and they suggested this one.I must admit I was very pleased. It’s a great stapler that can be changed to a nailer in just a few minutes.Only had a couple of jams usually after long use and then I added a drop of oil and it worked fine for another couple of hours. I put over 3000 staple in with it. so yes it worked great.

I installed 800 sq ft of 3/8 chestnut hardwood and had a good result. Getting used to and adjusting the plate correctly is half the battle. I did have some misfires, but not too many.

I bought Staple gun to do my home, installing Eng. Hardwoods. So far, 0 problems. It’s easy to change the heads from brad nailer to stapler. I guess HD only sells this Online.- I bought it online- elsewhere, less $, etc.The employees at HD had never heard of this gun. I did buy my brad nails from HD- instore- worked fine in the gun.

shot about 2000 staples with no misfires that weren’t my fault. All in all a good tool with the overall cost less than buying glue to put the flooring down.

Seems to be constructed well ….takes a little time to get adjustment for material thickness just right, but would recommend for it’s reasonable price.

Bought this stapler based on reviews (both at Home Depot and other sites) and price. After I placed my order through Home Depot, I told my flooring salesperson that I was going to install the engineered hardwood myself, he insisted on digging up a text from one of his installers recommending the perfect tool for the job… you guessed it, the Freeman PFBC940. Now the thing that impressed me the most; The first gun I received was broken – it had an air leak somewhere in the guts and would not drive staples completely while practicing for the main event. As recommended, instead of returning it to Home Depot, I called the company – man, talk about customer service! Spoke with nice (and apologetic) young man named Rich Kahn and two days later, I had a new, fully functional stapler on my doorstep. No questions, no problem – just emailed a copy of my Home Depot order confirmation e-mail and that was it. They even payed for me to ship the defective machine back. A little adjusting and practicing on a sacrificial piece of flooring and the Freeman stapler worked flawlessly. To sum up; Flawless performance – price that’s cheaper than renting a stapler – outstanding customer service… I am happy. My knees still hurt from installing the floor, but I’m happy.

I own several types of flooring nail/staple guns, this one works great and it is adjustable so you don’t have to buy a new gun with every new floor. Ive used this for several installations and its yet to jamb. you do have to check the depth set screws as they are the one thing that could use some attention. otherwise this is an exceptional value.
