I have several sizes of rail & staple guns. Rather than purchasing a whole new floor gun, I believe they should make a universal wood floor attachment piece for the tip of a stapler or nail gun so any gun can become a Wood floor staple or nail gun. The little rubber washer that holds the pin in place is too small. what do you do if you loose it? where to get one at the time of work? Have to wait days or even weeks before getting a new one. Also I cut my finger with staples when changing floor stapler to regular stapler. staples jumped out and saw my finger. It looked like slow motion. It was crazy to see the staples jump out and feeling every staple cut through my finger. it was a weird feeling.

I bought this to put up trim in my house after taking it down to insulate the gaps and I was very shocked how well it did for the price it cost. Never jammed and even though there is no power adjustment on this gun it performed great on what I was doing. You can however adjust the compressed air on you compressor to adjust power from 60psi all the way to 150 psi. I used 100psi for the trim.

Great gun. I bought this to install about 220 sft of 3/8 engineered hardwood flooring in a bedroom & large closet. The nose guide was a little difficult to adjust to my flooring, but once properly adjusted it worked very well. The guide should “fall” onto the tongue fairly smoothly & quickly to ensure proper angle & alignment of the staple. If it does not, you may not have adjusted it correctlyI did not have a single miss-fire or bent staple ( that wasn’t my fault) while installing the entire floor. My original plan was to buy a more expensive professional nailer/stapler and resell it when finished, but decided to take a chance with this one due to the low price & great reviews. I’m glad I did & i’m sure I will find many more uses for this tool.

Works great on 1/2 inch engineered maple flooring. Takes a bit of getting used to (work on a scrap piece to see how gun fires). Keep a hammer and a nail driver handy in case the staple does not fire all the way in to manually hammer the staple the final mm or so. Does not happen too often, maybe once every 50 or so staples. Overall excellent value and like the title states – does what it is supposed to.

I purchased this nailer at the last minute purchase because I had about 360 Sq Ft of engineered floor to install and the floor manufacturer’s recommended nailer was unavailable. I am pleased to say after shooting about 3500 brads without a misfire or jamb, in tight area’s like closets, and corners this unit preformed like a champ. Just make sure to use a few drops of pneumatic oil every 1000 or so nails or staples and you should be good. The unit is lightweight, smooth, and easy to operate. I am actually looking forward to using it for the trim work I have yet to do.

This nailer has been an excellent addition and it’s my first naumatic nailer (i already own a battery ryobi 18g one). So far, i have not had issues and i have been able to nail 1 1/2″ snapler through 3/4 red oak flooring. I am glad i purchased this nailer.

I’m constantly working on projects around the home and have several tools. This rates pretty high to me. I used this nailer to install 3/8 brazilian chestnut – so far have completed about 400 square feet. Fairly light gun and easy to use. I would highly recommend for engineered or thin hardwood installation. I did have to add oil to the gun and make sure your the pressure in your compressor stays steady or you’ll have some misfiring of nails.

I was needing to install some engineered flooring for a client and was having a difficult time finding an air hammer to do the job. Most that were available was expensive and limited to a 1″ staple length. I was happy to find this nailer that was versatile enough to shoot varying length of staples. The gun had some trouble shooting the 1 1/2″ staples, but shot the 1 1/4″ staples great. As a bonus, it converts very easily to a brad and staple nailer by replacing the floor foot with the supplied alternative. I was very pleased with its performance, quality, and versatility. A very good product for the money.

We just had a 30×30 family room added to our home, and are doing the finishing work ourselves. We bought 3/8″ brazilian cherry pre-finished flooring to install, and needed to find a good nailer/stapler. There were a few things that we liked about this model: it it has a trigger instead of the traditional hammer to engage it, it’s lightweight, and it has an optional head to convert it to a finishing nailer. We bought it, and are very close to finishing the floor now. The product has worked beautifully with very few mis-fires, and is very easy to use. We are going to change the head, and use it on the casings and baseboards next!

This is the only nailer I found designed for engineered flooring. Worked very well on 3/8 bamboo with 18 gage nails. Do not use staples as they will split the tongue which is no fault of the nailer it is the hardness of bamboo. Put down 200 sq. feet with no misfires, jams or no sets and I am going over old oak floor. A little common sense and it is easy to set depth of shoe. Can get get first row and with in one row of last. Great tool. If I need another nailer I will look for a Freeman.

Overall a great tool. This is my second Freeman tool of this kind and I am am happy with the quality, performance, and price of these tools. Would definitely buy a Freeman again.Very handy to have a combo nailer/stapler, especially one that can quickly convert to a flooring nailer/stapler. The tool is fairly straightforward to set up and use. The flooring attachment can be adjusted for flooring of different thicknesses (up to 5/8″ I believe). I found that trying to make adjustments can be tricky since there are two moving parts, and it was the first time I used the tool. The other issue I had was that the first time I used the tool I was having problems with staples not sinking in far enough (the first few were ok, but next several would be half in…), however, I realized that the issue was actually with my compressor. I read over the instructions for the nailer again and then read over the specs on my compressor and figured out that even though my compressor (which is only a small 2 gallon) could reach the right PSI, it couldn’t hold it and couldn’t deliver enough air to properly work the tool. This tool requires an air delivery of something like 1.7 SCFM @ 90 PSI. My compressor could only deliver 0.7 SCFM @ 90 PS – so it simply couldn’t deliver the air the tool needed (even though it could reach 90 PSI). So I bought a new compressor that could deliver 2.6 SCFM @ 90 PSI, and the issue immediately went away (staples went in consistently well).

I was putting down an engineered hardwood floor and wanted a more traditional blind nailed install. This Nailer works great and the flooring shoe lets you adjust it for a wide range of depths. I liked it so much that when I finished the floor and switched to the regular shoe, I used if for the baseboard and decided to add chair rail . . . all with one tool! Easy to load easy to use. I do have a 6 Gallon compressor with a higher than average PSI rating and I had to run the gun at 95-100 psi to get through the hardwood, less when I was doing the molding.
